Masters 2022: Top Prop Bet Odds & Picks (2022)

The biggest golf event of the year is upon us as the 86th Masters Tournament is set to get underway on Thursday. While almost all of the attention in the gambling world is focused on picking the outright winners and, of course, Tiger Woods, some great betting angles are flying under the radar in the prop betting department.

Below, I walk through my three best prop bets for the 2022 Masters Tournament.

Matt Fitzpatrick Top 30 Finish (-135)

Matt Fitzpatrick enters this tournament in terrific form as he has six top-30 finishes over his last eight tournaments. Not only has he been making cuts and keeping his name in the mix, but he has found himself in the top-10 in four of his last six tournaments.

Fitzpatrick’s results should not come as a surprise as he has excellent metrics, including key indicators to success at Augusta. This season, Fitzpatrick ranks 14th amongst the PGA in SG Approach to the Green, fifth in SG Tee-to-Green, and 14th in SG Around-the-Green.

Furthermore, Fitzpatrick’s scrambling this season has been excellent, as his 69.54% scrambling percentage puts him fourth in the PGA. Fitzpatrick has made the cut at Augusta in six straight years and has a top-10 finish under his belt.

Tournament Trio – Henley v. Berger v. Oosthuizen (Berger +180)

I am all aboard the Daniel Berger train for this tournament, and we are getting a great price for him to finish higher than Russell Henley and Louis Oosthuizen. Berger enters the Masters in good form as he has notched a top-20 finish in four of his last six tournaments, including a fourth-place finish at The Honda Classic.

Despite missing the cut in last year’s Masters, I expect a bounce-back from Berger, who has made the cut in all three of his previous appearances at Augusta and even finished in the top-10 in 2016. Berger’s metrics this season indicate a possible strong run at Augusta this time around, as he ranks 23rd amongst the PGA in SG Approach to the Green, ninth in SG Around-the-Green, and eighth in SG Tee-to-Green.

On the other hand, Russell Henley has not played at Augusta since 2018 and has not done anything special recently, as he has zero top-10 finishes over his last six tournaments. Louis Oosthuizen has just one top-20 finish over his last seven tournaments and zero top-10 finishes.

Hole-in-One on Hole 16 – Yes (-125)

While this is obviously an entertaining and popular bet to make, it has hit at a great rate over the last decade. There has been at least one hole-in-one on Hole 16 in five of the last six and seven of the last 12 Masters.

The Sunday pin location on Hole 16 sets up a reasonable possibility of a hole-in-one because if you hit the top of the ridge on the right, the green slopes down right towards the cup. Last year, Tommy Fleetwood drilled a hole-in-one with a 9-iron on Hole 16.

Best of luck!
