Mavericks vs. Timberwolves: NBA Same Game Parlay Picks (Wednesday)

We’re down to the conference finals as the NBA draws closer to an. For the Western Conference Finals, I’m not sure many had Minnesota and Dallas squaring off, but this could be an exciting series as both teams have their stars playing well. Let’s build the same game parlay for Game 1 of this series.

Dallas Mavericks @ Minnesota Timberwolves

The Mavericks got two upset series wins against the Clippers and then the No. 1 seeded Thunder. As good of a set of support players as they have, Luka Doncic is the catalyst for how this team plays. Even dealing with lingering injuries, Doncic excelled throughout the last series. He averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Against a Timberwolves defense that pressures and contains an opponent's best player, they will need Kyrie to be a big part and P.J. Washington needs to continue being an excellent two-way player.

Anthony Edwards has been one of the best players in the playoffs for the Timberwolves as he averages 28.9 points and is one of three players to average 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists - joining LeBron and Kobe. That isn't to say the other players are excelling; Rudy Gobert, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Conley have all worked well together. Gobert struggled in a couple of games but came out strong in Game 7 and KAT played well defensively against Nikola Jokic.

It will be interesting to see how the Mavericks start this game. They usually like to get aggressive early, and you shouldn't be shocked if they hold a lead in the first half. That's why this game could go either way. Where you want to look is at the total, both teams love to run the picks and roll, which slows down the pace and results in fewer possessions. We've seen each of these teams play games where the total has gone below 200, and that could be the start of this series.
