Miami Dolphins at New York Giants Odds & Game Pick
In a meaningless game in terms of postseason impact, the Miami Dolphins head back to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Giants, just one week after losing to the Jets there. The injuries are out of control for this game. One of the biggest is the quarterback situation for the Giants, with Daniel Jones returning to practice. However, all reports say it is Eli Manning that is likely to get the start, which means we get the highly anticipated matchup between Eli Manning and Ryan Fitzpatrick — what year is it?

Overview
Possibly making his final start in MetLife Stadium, Eli Manning is coming out with something to prove and, from what he said last week, there are hints that he would like to continue playing for another team. In other words, this could be an audition for Manning and a matchup with the Dolphins is about as perfect of a matchup as he could have hoped for. He has talented weapons around him in Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, and Golden Tate. Plus, he may get Evan Engram back after an extended absence. Defensively, this Giants secondary is absolutely atrocious and they have recently cut their top cornerback, Janoris Jenkins. We could bear witness to a bit of FitzMagic on Sunday, as the Giants surrender 261.8 yards (seventh-worst) and a 101.3 passer rating per game (fifth-worst).
The Dolphins continue to lose weapons to injuries and this week is no different. As of now, both DeVante Parker and Albert Wilson are in concussion protocol while Allen Hurns is beaten up. That means Miami has just two healthy wide receivers on the roster — Isaiah Ford and Mack Hollins. However, the previous three did log some practice reps on Thursday, so there is a bit of optimism there. To say it straight, this offense needs to put up points if they want to want to win games because their decimated defense is sure to give up plenty, as they surrender a league-high 30.7 points per game. Ryan Fitzpatrick has done a great job this season elevating the players around him, but if he is without Parker, this would be a very tall task, even for someone with a brain the size of Fitzpatrick's.
Trends

- The Giants are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games.
- The Giants lead the all-time series with the Dolphins, 6-2.
- Last Meeting: December 14, 2015 - The Giants defeated the Dolphins, 31-24, at Sun life Stadium.

Away Team Total Points: Over 21 (-110)
No matter how many injuries this offense has, they still have Ryan Fitzpatrick slingin’ the ball. They have scored over 21 points in three straight games. It also helps that Fitzpatrick gets to face a terrible secondary that will be missing Janoris Jenkins. The Giants have allowed over 21 points in eight of their last nine games.
Bottom Line
With these quarterbacks and these defenses, it truly is a coin flip. At the time of this writing, we also do not know the injury situation with Miami’s wide receivers. If Parker is out, I would lean on the Giants to cover. However, I will be safe and assume Parker is cleared from concussion protocol and can play, which means I like the over for the Dolphins, as stated above, which makes me like the over for the full game since I do not believe this depleted Miami defense can match up with the weapons that the Giants have.
Pick: Over 46.5
