Thursday's Best MLB Bets & Picks: Nationals vs. Mets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Washington Nationals (+186) at New York Mets (-231) | O/U 7.5 (-109/-111)
The Mets are the best pitching staff in baseball as they lead the league with a 2.90 ERA. Kodai Senga is the leader of the starting rotation and looks to be in contention for the National League Cy Young thanks to his National League-leading 1.59 ERA. He continues to be dependable with six quality starts this season. While not normally known as a strikeout pitcher, he's come away with a high total in his recent starts, with at least a strikeout per inning in four of his last five starts.
Senga already faced the Nationals this season, allowing two earned runs across six innings in a no-decision. What will also help is that the Mets are facing Michael Soroka, who has a 4.86 ERA. The Mets’ lineup is batting .349 against him.
Pick: Mets -1.5 (-113)
