MLB Futures Bets: World Series MVP Odds (2025)
I know what you are thinking. It's crazy to bet on the World Series MVP at this point. We don't even know who will be playing in the ALCs and NLCS yet. However, I say there is no better time than the present to get in on the World Series MVP action.
Why? Because as teams drop out and players come off the betting board, every player's odds will get shorter, meaning you'll win less money if you bet on the right player. So, bet now while even the favorites have longer odds.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Here are the top ten players on FanDuel's betting board:
- Shohei Ohtani (LAD – DH/SP) +490
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR – OF) +1400
- Freddie Freeman (LAD – 1B) +1900
- George Springer (TOR – OF) +1900
- Cal Raleigh (SEA – C) +2000
- William Contreras (MIL – C) +2200
- Mookie Betts (LAD – SS) +2200
- Christian Yelich (MIL – OF/DH) +2200
- Jackson Chourio (MIL – OF) +2200
- Aaron Judge (NYY – OF) +3000
No one has clinched a spot in the ALCS or NLCS yet, although it appears that Toronto, Milwaukee, and the Brewers will soon, leaving the Yankees, Cubs, and Phillies possibly on the way out very soon. But based off what we've seen so far, in the postseason and regular season, we'd put money down on one of these guys today to win World Series MVP.
Shohei Ohtani +490
If the Dodgers make the Series, Ohtani will become the favorite to win World Series MVP. There is just too much that he does and can do on any given night, whether he's hitting home runs or pitching a solid six or seven innings on the mound. Outside of his two home runs in the opener vs. the Reds, he hasn't made much of an impact, but that's okay.
With Ohtani, you know the big hits are coming; sometimes he makes you wait, but they're coming.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+1400)
George Springer (+1900)
Vlad has had a home run in each game of the ALDS; Springer led the team with 32 home runs in the regular season. Springer hit .309 and Vlad .292, so both of these guys are hitting machines capable of taking over a game. Toronto has been blowing up on offense, so I feel like I need to focus on the best player(s) in their lineup.
From what we know of and have seen from both players, it wouldn't be a shock to see either (or both) go off in the World Series.
Cal Raleigh (+2000)
I'm a sucker for a player who comes out of nowhere to hit home runs in the regular season. I just want those guys to succeed in the playoffs. Now, his Mariners are having a tougher time with the Tigers than the rest of the field in their respective series, and he is kind of a one-trick pony. However, a few well-timed home runs in the series will certainly put him in the conversation.
Remember Pablo Sandoval? The Kung-Fu Panda hit three home runs in Game 1 of the 2012 Series and little else in the other three games and was named World Series MVP.
