Corey Seager (+450)
Corey Seager has found his power following a slow start to the year. The Rangers infielder finished the month of May with 11 home runs and a .660 slugging percentage across 25 games. Also take into account that Seager is pulling the baseball at an all-time rate (37.2%), which helps him take advantage of calling Globe Life Field home. The stadium ranks fifth in offensive park factors since the start of the 2022 campaign.
There’s no denying that Seager draws a difficult matchup on Monday. Detroit’s Tarik Skubal has been lights out with a 2.01 ERA. However, Seager is 4-for-6 with a double against Skubal and is hitting .471 when thrown a changeup this season. That’s worth noting as Skubal usually relies on his changeup to confuse hitters at the plate. Trust Seager to wait for the right pitch and tee off for a blast.
Ryan McMahon (+450)
Cincinnati southpaw Andrew Abbott has struggled to keep opposing batters from leaving the yard. He has been tagged for a deep fly in seven of his 11 starts ahead of a clash with the Rockies at the hitter-friendly Coors Field. The Colorado players have only faced Abbott eight times altogether, but two of the at-bats ended with a tater. Outfielder Brenton Doyle and first baseman Elehuris Montero were responsible for those.
Infielder Ryan McMahon is the MLB pro to target this time around. McMahon is slashing an impressive .338/.430/.559 with four home runs in 79 plate appearances versus left-handed pitching. The 29-year-old also leads the Rockies with five dingers at home this season. Having a fluid swing aids McMahon in making constant contact and any ball he can put in the air in Denver has a shot of landing in the crowd.
Jose Abreu (+830)
The drought is finally over for Jose Abreu. He crushed a four-seam fastball from Minnesota’s Joe Ryan on Saturday for his first homer of the 2024 campaign. It was a great step in returning to being the reliable power bat the Astros signed him to be. Up next for Abreu is a clash with St. Louis’ Kyle Gibson. Gibson ranks sixth amongst active pitchers when it comes to career home runs allowed (211).
This is a matchup Abreu can use to continue rounding into form. After all, the three-time All-Star is slashing .262/.311/.595 with four home runs in 42 at-bats against Gibson. The Cardinals starter has also given up the fourth-most barrels to opposing batters this year (21). As long as Abreu stays patient, he has a chance to line up a tank on a ball left in the middle of the zone. Take a risk for a big payout here.
