Nathaniel Lowe (+600)
A struggling Kyle Gibson takes the bump for Baltimore tonight. After allowing five long balls in his season opener, the Orioles starter has settled into a 13.11 ERA in his three starts. He is susceptible to another potential onslaught tonight.
Nathaniel Lowe homered last night, so it's clear he can do it. Lowe is 4-for-8 lifetime against Gibson with two long balls. The Washington three-hitter has been better on the road this year and much better against righties. I'm shocked this prop is at +600, and I'm guessing you can find longer odds elsewhere. Lowe has eight home runs on the season. I'm betting he gets to nine today.
Josh Naylor (+425)
For another batter where the odds are surprisingly long, I'm going with Josh Naylor. Considering Ketel Marte's odds are +290 when they both have similar home run numbers this year is too much of a difference.
Naylor has crushed righties with all his home runs against them, batting .330 on the year. He's also been much better at home, while German Marquez for Colorado has allowed all four of his long balls on the road this year to the tune of a 10.53 ERA.
Naylor also has gone 3-for-9 with two home runs off Marquez lifetime, so he sees the Colorado starting pitcher well. With the positive splits and history, this is an easy bet for Naylor to go deep in today's matchup between National League West foes.
Josh Jung (+550)
Finally, I'm also going with Texas third baseman Josh Jung. The 27-year-old has homered seven times already this year and also hit one yesterday. He has been red-hot recently with four home runs over his last seven games, batting .440 in that span.
Jung is 3-for-3 with a home run against Astros starter Ronel Blanco. It's too bad Jung will likely be so far down in the order, as he may only get two cracks at Blanco, but that is still enough to back him to go yard.
