Giancarlo Stanton (+220)

Many eyes will be on the Orioles vs. Yankees showdown on Thursday. After all, winning the contest could pay off greatly considering how the American League East title race is shaking out. Baltimore will trust left-hander Cole Irvin to earn the victory on the mound. The 30-year-old has made one career appearance at Yankee Stadium. That came when he was tagged for five earned runs across seven innings in 2022.

Both Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton homered in that game. Backing Stanton again this time around is a logical strategy. The powerful designated hitter has posted a .528 slugging percentage over 34 home games and crushed a 96-mile-per-hour (MPH) sinker for a 440-foot tater on Wednesday night. Irvin relies on his sinker nearly 16% of the time, so one mistake from him could be all it takes for Stanton to ignite the crowd.

Cal Raleigh (+320)

Cleveland’s Logan Allen is one of just eight MLB pitchers with at least 14 home runs allowed this campaign. Not only that, but Allen has given up two jacks in six of his 14 starts. Being unable to elicit soft contact is a reason for concern for the young southpaw. Allen ranks 336th out of 375 qualified pitchers in opponents’ average exit velocity (90.8 MPH). Relying on someone in Seattle’s lineup is the way to go.

I’ll focus on catcher Cal Raleigh as he has raked on the road. The fourth-year pro has tallied nine of his 12 dingers away from T-Mobile Park and leads all Mariners with an overall 54.3% hard-hit percentage in 2024. Tormenting that Guardians has become a characteristic of Raleigh, too. He is slashing a respectable .280/.400/.800 with four home runs through seven games played at Progressive Field.

Brice Turang (+1000)

It has been anything but a clean introduction to the MLB level for San Diego hurler Adam Mazur. The former Iowa standout has put up a dismal 7.82 ERA and 2.05 WHIP across his first 12.2 innings. It mirrors his performances in Triple-A earlier this year, where he posted a 7.11 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 19 innings. Picking a player in a talented Milwaukee lineup to trust can be tough as no one on the roster has seen Mazur before.

Brice Turang’s odds poke out from the rest for a few reasons. All four of the middle infielder’s home runs have come on the road and against a right-handed pitcher. He is also tied with William Contreras in most hits in 2024 away games (45) and leads the Brewers with a .331 batting average during away games. Turang constantly puts the bat on the ball, which certainly makes it seem like another deep fly is in his future. Lock in this longshot.
