MLB Home Run Props, Bets & Picks: Saturday (5/31)

The 2025 MLB season continues today with the sun shining down and baseball to bet on. Saturday's slate features plenty of games as we continue on a solid start to the season, hitting some metaphorical and literal longshots already. We've hit a bit of a cold spell of late, but we're currently playing with house money, so it's time for a bounceback.

Betting on specific players to hit a home run is an exciting way to bet on baseball, and the wins are some of the biggest. The plus-money odds provide larger payouts that make for some great betting. As a friendly reminder, shop around for the best odds because home run odds differ widely across sportsbooks.

Let’s dive into the top MLB home run picks and predictions for this weekend's matchups.

Saturday's Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets

Last Time: 0-3 | Season: 5-22 (+8.0 Units) | Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Seiya Suzuki (+500)

For someone who's already hit 14 homers on the year, it's surprising to see Seiya Suzuki's odds at what they are. Against Reds starter Nick Lodolo, Suzuki is 5-for-11 lifetime with three extra-base hits.

Suzuki has also seen lefties way better this year with a .375 batting average and 1.299 OPS against southpaws. Even if Lodolo handles business, the Reds’ bullpen has allowed the fourth-most home runs this year with a combined 5.34 ERA. Find a righty you like to go yard today for Chicago, and I'd likely support your decision. With the history and favorable splits, my pick is Suzuki.

Yandy Diaz (+330)

This is your easy pick of the day with shorter odds, but I'm not going to pass on an opportunity like this. Colton Gordon may be a rookie in his fourth career start for Houston, but one of the teams he's already faced is Tampa Bay. Yandy Diaz went 2-for-3 off him with a double. Not bad.

In his short career, Gordon has been a lot friendlier to right-handed batters, allowing them to bat .309 off him with both long balls allowed to righties. My main support for this bet is that Diaz should lead off today and get five attempts at going deep. The month of May hasn't been great, but he has gone deep four times, so his power is always a threat.

Juan Soto (+500)

Similar to Suzuki, I'm surprised at how long these odds are, given the situation. It's not as if Juan Soto has been playing up to his lofty standards, but he's still Juan Soto. Seven of his eight home runs have come off righties, and he's already homered off Antonio Senzatela in the only game he faced off against the Rockies starter.

The Rockies’ bullpen also won't be of much assistance. While Soto can draw walks at a high rate, he's still coming off a 41-homer season. Put some respect on the man’s name. I'm taking him to go deep today.
