Freddie Freeman (+480)
A victory on Monday night would give the Dodgers a 2-0 series lead heading to Los Angeles. The Philadelphia fans will be relentless as they wave their rally towels. It’s an environment Freddie Freeman knows well. The first baseman has logged an .842 OPS and tallied 44 extra-base knocks in 113 clashes in Philly. The combination of that experience and 14 career playoff home runs paints Freeman as a trustworthy pro to go deep.
Game 2 will mark Jesus Luzardo’s first postseason start with the Phillies. The southpaw scuffled in the playoffs with the Athletics and Marlins, logging a 6.14 ERA and 1.64 WHIP across four outings. Those struggles included four homers allowed in 14.2 innings. Freeman torched a four-seam fastball for a 419-foot dinger off Luzardo on September 17th. A misplaced heater could be all that is needed for history to repeat itself.
Bryce Harper (+480)
Let’s flip dugouts because there may be no one better equipped to ignite a rowdy crowd than Bryce Harper. The two-time MVP has excelled at Citizens Bank Park during the postseason, batting .323 with eight home runs and 19 RBI in 19 contests. Overall, Harper sports an impressive 1.006 OPS in 54 career playoff games. There’s a reason he is nicknamed “The Showman.” Harper has never been afraid to be at the plate when the lights are brightest.
Battling Los Angeles’ Blake Snell will not be easy by any means. However, the veteran left-hander registered a pedestrian 4.30 ERA in four road starts in the regular season and has surrendered a homer to Harper before. It’s worth pointing out that Harper has also gone yard against three notable L.A. bullpen arms (Anthony Banda, Alex Vesia, Clayton Kershaw). This wager has a chance to cash up until the final out is recorded.
Blake Perkins (+800)
This Cubs-Brewers matchup can be a tricky one to decipher. Chicago’s Shota Imanaga and Milwaukee’s Aaron Ashby are the scheduled starting pitchers on Monday. It’s safe to assume either one could be pulled at the first sign of trouble, though. As a result, I like the idea of taking an intriguing longshot option. Outfielder Blake Perkins has flashed some pop with the Brew Crew and went 2-for-4 with a double in the Game 1 victory.
Keep in mind that Perkins is 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles versus Imanaga. All in all, the 29-year-old switch-hitter has slashed .352/.438/.789 in 54 plate appearances facing left-handed pitching in 2025. Those efforts helped Milwaukee average the third-most runs per contest in the regular season (4.98). Role players have stepped up for the Brewers throughout this campaign. Trust Perkins to rise to the occasion with a blast.
