Monday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kyle Schwarber (+190)

Kyle Schwarber smashed a 435-foot home run off Detroit’s Tyler Holton to provide the Phillies with a key insurance run in Sunday’s 2-0 win. It was the All-Star slugger’s 15th homer versus left-handed pitching this season, which trails just Seattle’s Cal Raleigh (18) for the highest total in the Majors. Boasting a top-seven hard-hit rate (60.5%) and home slugging rate (.598) goes to show how incredible Schwarber’s power has been.

Up next for Schwarber is a clash with Baltimore’s Cade Povich. The young southpaw has struggled to induce soft contact, ranking 354th in hard-hit rate (51.3%) and 349th in barrel rate (13.5%) out of 357 qualified MLB arms. Overall, Povich has surrendered 10 dingers across his last 11 appearances and sports a career 5.52 ERA on the road. Trust Schwarber to exploit a glaring mismatch and electrify the Philly crowd with a big swing.

William Contreras (+680)

A sudden hot streak from catcher William Contreras has helped the Brewers maintain the best record in baseball (67-44). The Venezuelan pro is 13-for-28 with three home runs and two doubles over his previous six games played. A trip to Truist Park on Monday provides Contreras with a chance to build more momentum. After all, he has logged an .824 OPS and tallied 30 extra-base knocks in 81 contests at the Atlanta stadium.

Erick Fedde will toe the slab for the Braves in this series opener. The 32-year-old right-hander has been getting burned as of late, posting a disastrous 12.09 ERA and 2.28 WHIP during his most recent six starts. That stretch includes nine homers allowed at an average distance of 405 feet. As if that’s not enough, Contreras is 9-for-16 with two blasts and five RBI against Fedde. Lock this wager in for a shot at a healthy payout.

Christian Walker (+560)

William Contreras isn’t alone in his offensive surge. Houston’s Christian Walker has slashed .300/.379/.560 with three home runs and four doubles in his past 14 games. The veteran first baseman currently leads the Astros with nine homers with runners on and is tied for the team lead with nine jacks in away contests this campaign. It’s safe to say Walker knows how to remain calm under pressure as he waits for the perfect pitch.

Facing Miami’s Sandy Alcantara hasn’t been nearly as daunting for opponents in 2025 as it was in the early 2020s. The Miami hurler is racking up strikeouts at the lowest rate in his career (16.8%), while conceding hard hits at the highest rate in his career (43.9%) through 21 starts. Keep in mind that Alcantara relies on his sinker, and Walker is batting .341 against sinkers this year. One slip-up is all it takes for him to go yard.
