Wednesday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Bets
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jac Caglianone (+600)
Jac Caglianone made his much-anticipated MLB debut last night, and while he did go 0-for-5, he made solid contact in every at-bat, with two potential hits being robbed via great defensive plays.
This kid is going to be a superstar, and it’s only a matter of time before he takes the league by storm.
The lefty power hitter has crushed baseball at every level he has played in. In his final two seasons as a Florida Gator, he smacked a total of 68 home runs.
After being drafted by the Kansas City Royals, Caglianone batted .322 with nine home runs in 38 games in AA. He followed that up with a .319 average and six home runs in 12 AAA games.
Wyatt Langford (+450)
If I am taking one former Gator to hit a home run, I might as well take another former Gator in Wyatt Langford.
Langford has a favorable matchup against Rays starter Shane Baz. Baz, primarily a fastball pitcher, has had trouble with the long ball. Over his last six starts, he has allowed nine dingers, and his 1.79 HR/9 is the second highest among today's starters.
Eight of Langford’s 11 home runs have come off either opposing fastballs, sinkers or sliders, all of which Baz uses the most in his pitch arsenal.
