Top MLB No Runs First Inning (NRFI) Picks & Odds: Marlins vs. Braves
The Fish dropped last nightâs series opener, which means theyâve now lost five straight games and are 1-7 over their last eight. Edward Cabrera gets the nod for Miami tonight, and heâll try to turn things around for the struggling Marlins. As for the Braves, theyâll go with newly acquired Jake Odorizzi as they try to narrow the 3.0-game gap with the Mets in the division. The first pitch for tonightâs game is set for 7:20 p.m. ET from Truist Park.
Cabrera is set to make his ninth start of the year tonight, and heâs been great since making his way into the rotation. The right-hander is 4-2 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 44.0 innings pitched. However, Cabreraâs coming off of his worst start of the year against the Dodgers, where he allowed six earned runs on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He took the loss and Miami moved to 5-3 in his starts.
Odorizzi hasnât been spectacular this season but comes in at 5-5 with a 3.90 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 17 total starts. He recently made his fifth start with the Braves and went 5.2 innings against the Cardinals, allowing a pair of earned runs on four hits and a walk. It was a no-decision effort that Atlanta lost and moved to 2-3 in his starts with the team.
Cabrera hasnât faced the Braves this year, but they have gone just 1-7 (.143) against him in his career. That includes a combined 0-4 (.000) from Travis DâArnaud and Austin Riley, while Dansby Swanson is 0-0 (.000) with two walks. Itâs also worth noting that the 24-year-old starter owns a 1.59 road ERA, and opponents are hitting just .137 against him in road games. As for Odorizzi, Iâm fairly confident that he can handle this Marlins offense that ranks 27th in both team batting average (.229) and OPS (.657). Heâs in pretty solid form as heâs allowed just three earned runs over his last two starts spanning 11.2 innings. Letâs lock in NRFI tonight in the ATL.

What are Player Props?
Player props refer to wagers that bettors can make based on player performance in a specific game. The majority of player props are built around the most common statistical benchmarks for a specific sport such as yards and touchdowns in football. Most player props are straight over/under plays that open at or near -110 and are adjusted based on where the money lands.
