MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (5/28)

Memorial Day weekend brings us a lot of baseball over the next couple of days, with some great matchups across the board. Let’s take a look at a few player props to watch for as you cook out and watch baseball this Sunday afternoon.

Sunday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets

Bryan Reynolds Over 0.5 Singles

The Pirates and Mariners look to wrap up their three-game series today, with the winner claiming the series. It will be right-hander Luis Ortiz on the mound for the Pirates, with lefty Marco Gonzales for the Mariners. Despite his 4-1 record, Gonzales has been hittable, boasting a whopping 5.68 ERA.

A guy that I think will benefit from this is switch-hitter Bryan Reynolds. After a disappointing 0-3 performance and a tough day against Luis Castillo, look for Reynolds to bounce back today with a couple of hits. Look for him to break out today against the struggling Gonzales and cash this single prop today.

Bet: Bryan Reynolds Over 0.5 Singles (-120 at DraftKings)

Alex Verdugo Over 1.5 Total Bases

The Red Sox are looking to sweep their series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. The pitching matchup features two right-handers, Tanner Houck for the Red Sox and Merrill Kelly for the Dbacks.

Alex Verdugo is having a great start to the season, especially against Right handed pitchers. Verdugo is boasting a .289 average on the season and a .311 average against righties. I like him to bounce back at the plate after a hitless performance yesterday with a plus matchup against the right-hander Kelly and the struggling Arizona bullpen. I like him to have plenty of opportunities at the plate at the top of the lineup. Bet on Verdugo to deliver over 1.5 Total Bases in Arizona this afternoon.

Bet: Alex Verdugo Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110 at DraftKings)

Lars Nootbaar Over 0.5 Singles

The Cardinals are looking to win their series outright today on the road against the Cleveland Guardians. Two struggling pitchers are going at it today, with Jordan Montgomery on the mound for the Cards and right-hander Hunter Gaddis pitching for the Guardians. Gaddis has a 5.26 ERA on the season, despite giving up zero ER in his last 8 innings pitched.

Lars Nootbaar batting .277 against right-handers on the season, including an OPS of .821. Nootbar was red-hot (5-game hitting streak) before a poor performance at the plate yesterday (0-5, 4 Ks). I expect a bounce-back performance from Nootbar after an uncharacteristic day at the plate yesterday against the Righty Gaddis. Take Nootbar over 0.5 singles with confidence in Arizona this afternoon.

Bet: Lars Nootbaar Over 0.5 Singles (+100 at DraftKings)
