Eric Lauer: o/u 4.5 Strikeouts

Eric Lauer has topped four strikeouts in only 3 of his last 10 starts. Tonight the Brewers take on the Miami Marlins. This play is more so fading the Marlins lineup.

Miami has the highest K% (27.6%) and ranks 30th in wRC+ (72) against LHP in 2022.

The Pick: o4.5 Strikeouts (-136 DraftKings)

Ranger Suarez: o/u 4.5 Strikeouts

This is another play where I aim to fade a team’s lineup. Ranger Suarez has pitched well this season for the Phillies. He has a 10-5 record with a respectable 3.38 ERA. HE has failed to record 5 or more strikeouts in five straight starts but has a favorable matchup tonight against the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs have the 8th K% and rank 21st in wRC+ against LHP this season. Opposing starting pitchers have recorded 5 or more strikeouts in seven straight games.

The Pick: o4.5 Strikeouts (-150 DraftKings)

Shohei Ohtani: o/u 7.5 Strikeouts

This is an excellent spot for Ohtani. In his two starts against the Oakland Athletics, he has a 1-1 record with a 1.57 ERA.

Oakland has the 6th highest K% and ranks 26th in wRC+ against RHP.

The Picks: o7.5 Strikeouts (-120 DraftKings)

Marcus Gonzalez: o/u 17.5 Outs

Marcus Gonzalez has gone six complete innings in five straight home starts and 7 or his last 8. Overall he has been a much better pitcher at Safeco Field. He has a 3.36 ERA in his home starts, while opponents are only hitting .236.

The Pick: o17.5 (-130 DraftKings)

Wilmer Flores: o/u 1.5 Total Bases

Flores is not known for regularly making contact with the ball, as his average is a lousy .232. In his defense, he is better at hitting at home (.249) and has had success against the Colorado Rockies. In 53 at-bats, Flores has a .283 average against the Rockies. Of his 15 hits, he has two doubles, one triple, and one home run.

The Pick: o1.5 Total Bases (+145 DraftKings)

Harold Ramirez: o/u 1.5 Total Bases

Ramirez leads the Rays team in Batting average at .300 and has 11 hits over his last eight games. Most of Ramirez’s at-bats have come against right-handed pitchers, and he has taken advantage. Four of his six home runs and 19 of his 24 doubles have come against RHP.

Guardians’ starter Cal Quantrill is a perfect 8-0 at Progressive Field, but his kryptonite is the long ball. Of the 21 home runs he has allowed this season, 14 of them have been at Progressive Field.

The Pick: o1.5 Total Bases (+140 DraftKings)
