Javier Assad: o/u 4.5 Strikeouts

Javier Assad has only averaged 2.6 strikeouts over his last three starts, yet the line for his k-prop is set at 4.5. Assad did record six strikeouts in his previous start against the Reds, and I think he has a repeat performance.

The Reds have the 8th highest K-rate vs. RHP in 2022, and opposing starting pitchers have topped 4.5 strikeouts in 5 of their last 6 games.

The Pick: o4.5 Strikeouts (+120 DraftKings)

Cal Quantrill: o/u 4.5 Strikeouts

Cal Quantrill has pitched great for the Guardians in 2022, posting a 14-5 record with an ERA of 3.42, but he is not a high strikeout guy.

Over his last 22 starts, he has only topped 4.5 strikeouts five times. Quantrill ranks in the 8th percentile in K/inning and 14th percentile in swing and miss rate.

Starting pitchers have failed to reach five strikeouts in 11 of their 13 games against the Kansas City Royals.

The Pick: u4.5 Strikeouts (-125 DraftKings)

Braxton Garrett: o/u 4.5 Hits Allowed

The Atlanta Braves are still looking to clinch the Division Title, so there is motivation to play and win.

Marlins starter Braxton Garrett has allowed five or more hits in 5 of his last 7 starts, including his last start against the Braves.

The Braves rank 5th in wRC+ and OBP% against RHP in 2022.

The Picks: o4.5 Hits Allowed (+105 DraftKings)

Braxton Garrett: o/u 4.5 strikeouts

I like the under 4.5 strikeouts for Miami Marlins starter Braxton Garrett for the same reasons explained above. Plus, the Atlanta Braves are one of the best teams against LHP. They have the 5th best wRC+ and the 14th lowest K-Rate against LHP.

The Pick: u4.5 (-120 DraftKings)

Bo Bochette: o/u 1.5 Total Bases

Bo has been one of the hottest hitters over the last 30 days. Bichette is batting .393, with 6 HRs, 22 RBI and 4 SB. Over that span, he has a BABIP of .433 (3rd best) and a wOBA of .457 (4th Best.

The Pick: o1.5 Total Bases (-130 DraftKings)

Mike Trout: o/u 1.5 Total Bases

Unless you have been living under a rock the last month, you have seen the tear Mike Trout has been on this past month.

Last 30 Days:

  • HR: 11 (1st)
  • RBI: 21 (4th)
  • ISO: .436 (1st)
  • wOBA: .459 (2nd)
  • wRC+: 205 (3rd)

It is safe to say Trout has seen the ball pretty well as of late. Tonight he faces Cole Irvin; he has only had four at-bats against the Athletics starter but is 3-4 with two doubles. At even money, over 1.5 total bases is a great value.

The Pick: o1.5 Total Bases (+100 DraftKings)
