Friday’s Best MLB Player Props
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Austin Riley Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
Alex Cobb will take the mound for the Giants. He’ll face a Braves lineup with a .227 ISO and wOBA of .383 against righties over the last month.
Meanwhile, Cobb has allowed a .294 ISO and wOBA of .418 to his last 113 batters. Cobb will induce ground balls and limit fly balls. But his strikeout rate is low, and he’s allowed nearly 29% of line drives in the last 30 days. He’s also been worse against righties. Cobb has allowed a .333 ISO and wOBA of .469 to his last 48 righties.
On the other hand, Austin Riley has slugged a .414 ISO and wOBA of .470 against righties over the last 30 days. Riley has struck out nearly 24% of the time, but against Cobb, the probability of Riley striking out will be lower.
Riley has hit 38.7% of fly balls and line drives against righties while also hitting 57.3% of hard contact. Let’s take Riley to earn at least two total bases tonight.
Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
Bryce Miller is expected to take the mound for the Mariners tonight. The right-hander has been terrific against righties but has struggled against lefties over the last month.
Miller has allowed a .323 ISO and wOBA of .385 to his last 71 lefties faced. He’s also allowed over 43% of fly balls and has induced just 19.6% of ground balls against lefties in the previous 30 days.
You can’t go wrong with Yordan Alvarez or Kyle Tucker. But Tucker has been slightly more consistent recently, hitting a .236 ISO and wOBA of .395 against his last 63 righties. Tucker has only struck out 11.1% of the time against righties in the previous 30 days.
Meanwhile, Miller has struck out 23.9% of lefties in the last 30 days and has only issued 4.2% of walks. Tucker will likely get the opportunity to put the ball in play every time he’s at bat. The left-hander has slugged over 31% of fly balls and line drives and has hit nearly 48% of hard contact. Roll with Tucker tonight.
Pablo Lopez Over 7.5 Ks (-162)
Pablo Lopez has struck out 29.2% of batters over the last month. That’s almost on par with his seasonal average of 29.9%. Lopez has held batters to a .112 ISO and wOBA of .251 over the last 30 days and has earned over 50% of ground balls. He’s also limited batters to 23.5% of fly balls and 22.2% of line drives.
There’s a good chance Lopez throws at least six innings tonight. He’ll take on a Pirates lineup that has struck out 27.4% of the time against righties over the last month. Pittsburgh’s lineup features six batters striking out at least 26% of the time against righties in that span.
Lopez has looked incredible recently. Look for him to keep that up against the Pirates tonight.
