Aaron Judge o1.5 TBs (-110)
I typically do not like to bet TB bets at less than plus odds but what Judge is doing this year is special. Houser is a groundball pitcher, a perfect match for power for a flyball hitter like Judge. Plus, he gets to play in a good offensive ballpark today in Milwaukee. I think number 58 may be on the docket.
Manny Machado o0.5 HRs (+240)
Machado and the Padres face Madison Bumgarner and the Diamondbacks. For the last several seasons, the issue for Mad bum has been the long ball, and Machado has been well above average against lefties this season. His TB prop is too expensive, so I’ll take the play on the long ball.
Blake Snell o2.5 BBs (+140)
Snell has been better this season but still has a walk rate of nearly four per nine. He faces a Diamondback lineup he recently got for ten Ks and no walks, but they do have the fifth-best BB% in the game over the last 30 days. He has bouts of wildness that can make this number attainable if they wait him out properly.
Lucas Giolito o5.5 K (-116)
Giolito has been downright dreadful this season, but today he faces a Detroit lineup with swing-and-miss issues. His K prop is slightly higher than I would want it to be, but he is still striking out more than a batter per inning. This number should be reachable to him.
Atlanta Braves TT 04.5 Runs (+100)
This may seem like a fairly high team total against Ranger Suarez, who has been able to put up a decent season after a dreadful start. However, this Braves’ lineup is one of the best in the game against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 119 tied for third in the game. I think they put up a big number against Suarez tonight to get back to their winning ways.
