Monday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jose Iglesias Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-115)
The Padres have been one of the year’s biggest stories as they now hold first place in the National League West. All credit goes to their lineup, which has been one of the best in the league. They lead the league in batting average (.275) and are fourth in on-base percentage (.344).
Iglesias has been holding it down at the bottom of the lineup with a .292 average. He's been especially hot recently, batting .409, with four extra-base hits and four RBI. He's going against Keider Montero, whose first start of the year had positives and negatives. Montero did strike out eight batters in five innings, but he also allowed five earned runs and three home runs.
Jung Hoo Lee 2+ Total Bases (-105)
The National League West could be a competitive division, with four of the teams separated by two games. This is because every team got better from last season to try to compete against the champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants are a part of that, and are just two games out of first.
Jung Hoo Lee's 2024 rookie season was cut short by a left shoulder injury that ended his season in May. He is fully healthy and has been great this season, ranking sixth in the league with a .333 batting average. He’s been even better over his last seven games, batting .400 with seven RBI. He faces the Brewers and Quinn Priester, who's been great to start the season with a 0.90 ERA. However, his 5.40 expected ERA shows he’s due for a regression, which could come against a great lineup, like the one the Giants have.
Max Meyer Over 4.5 Hits Allowed (-140)
It looks like it’s time to prepare for another disappointing season in South Beach, as the Marlins have lost five of their last six. They’re struggling despite the offense performing well. They are third in batting (.260) and ninth in on-base percentage (.326).
It’s been the pitching that has held this team down all season, ranking 28th in ERA (5.07). Max Meyer has been one of the bright spots for this rotation as he has three straight quality starts. He hasn’t given up a lot of runs, but we’ve seen him give up a lot of hits, allowing five hits in three of his four starts. Cincinnati’s bats are on fire as they are coming off scoring 24 runs on 25 hits against Baltimore on Sunday. They also scored a total of 13 runs on 24 hits in the two games before that offensive explosion.
