Monday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140)
Aaron Judge was a unanimous choice for the American League MVP last year, but most people only remember that dropped fly ball in the World Series. He's on a mission to carry the Juan Soto-less Yankees to another opportunity at the Fall Classic
That mission has started well as he leads the league in home runs (six) and RBI (17), and he is third in OPS (1.310). The Yankees head to Detroit to take on the Tigers, who are playing very well to start the season. Judge will see Casey Mize, whom he's had success against in a small sample size - 4-for-5 with two doubles. Look for Judge to keep his hot streak going.
Nathan Eovaldi Over 1.5 Runs Allowed (-155)
Nathan Eovaldi is having a great start to the season with a 1.20 ERA and a 0.47 WHIP. He's coming off a stellar complete-game shutout against the Reds, in which he gave up four hits and struck out eight.
He'll face off against another National League Central team as he matches up with the Cubs. He has performed well against this Chicago lineup, with the team batting a career .179 against him, but this Cubs lineup has been incredible to start the year. They lead the league in hits (104) and walks (66), so look for their luck to change against Eovaldi.
Hunter Greene 8+ Strikeouts (+125)
There was a lot of hype coming into this season for the Reds, as many expected them to become a contender. That has not happened yet, as they are currently 3-7. The offense has struggled to start the season and is batting just .210 (25th).
The pitching, however, has been much better, with a 3.41 ERA (ninth). Hunter Greene has started the season off well with a 2.25 ERA despite the team not winning in either of his two starts. He should be able to give them another chance against a Giants team he has dominated with a 40.2% strikeout rate.
