Eduardo Escobar UNDER 0.5 Hits (+115)

The Mets had a successful weekend against the Marlins by grabbing three of four. We’re seeing that there will not be a drop-off with the new pieces in the starting rotation, and the offense will find a way to get runners on.

One hitter that struggled over the weekend was Escobar, who went 1-for-16 and struck out seven times. Today’s matchup doesn’t get much better because he is hitless in eight career at-bats with six strikeouts against starter Freddy Peralta and 5-for-21 against the Milwaukee relievers.

Nestor Cortez Jr. To Record a Win (+130)

The Yankees had a spectacular weekend taking two of three from the Giants. In the two wins, New York dominated on offense and the mound, with power at the plate while the pitching staff had two shutouts.

Cortez will make his 2023 debut coming off a breakout season, going 12-4 with a 2.44 ERA and 9.3 strikeouts per nine.

He’ll face the Phillies, who had an abysmal weekend being swept by Texas and giving up 27 runs. Going into the Bronx is not what you want to do after that. Cortez should pick up right where he left off and the Yankees’ bats should be all over that struggling Phillies pitching staff.

Nolan Arenado Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)

The Cardinals had a great opening weekend as they came away with two of three against the Blue Jays. The Cardinals have some stellar bats, especially with reigning NL MVP Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado, who finished third in the voting.

I’m excited about Arenado for the season, and he’s playing really well at the start. I like him tonight against the Braves. He’ll see veteran Charlie Morton, against whom he has five hits, including three doubles and a home run.
