MLB Player Props & Bets: Friday (4/24)

Season Record: 9-3

Adolis Garcia OVER 0.5 Hits (-165 at FanDuel

Adolis Garcia has been excellent against Luis Severino in his career, albeit over a shorter sample size than we usually like. With that said, the sample data is outrageous. Garcia has a .500 batting average in six career at-bats against Garcia. He has two home runs in those six at-bats. Garcia has been rock solid on the season with a .286 batting average, eight home runs, 24 RBI, and .565 slugging percentage, but has really started to heat up over his last 10 contests, going 13-38 (.342 AVG). The home run prop has massive appeal due to the matchup and the fact that Garcia has smashed a long ball in four of his last seven games, but we will stick with probability and click the total hits instead.

Trea Turner OVER 1.5 total bases (+110 at Fanatics Sportsbook)

Trea Turner has a tough matchup on paper against Chris Sale, but the star infielder has had success against the former NL Cy Young winner. Turner has a .333 average in 12 at-bats against Sale (4-12), and comes into this game riding an 11-game hitting streak. In his last 10 games overall, Trea has been raking with a .395 batting average (15-38) with three stolen bases. Turner, who comes into this one with a .318 batting average, five home runs, 14 RBI, and five stolen bases, has hit two or more total bases in eight of his last 11 games.

Freddie Freeman OVER 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (+110 at Fanatics Sportsbook)

Freddie Freeman has absolutely dominated Matthew Boyd in 14 at-bats, reaching base six times to give him a .429 average with a 1.200 OPS. Freeman has been scorching recently, and comes into this contest with a .368 batting average in his last 38 at-bats. He is riding a 14-game on-base streak and is batting .312 on the season. Hits is the true play here as this writer invites juice for player props, but since the number is larger than what we will typically tap in this column (at least for baseball), we will pivot to the Hits + Runs + RBI line instead. Total bases were also considered. This is one of the best hitter matchups of the slate, so be sure to consider this one strongly at Fanatics.
