MLB Player Props & Bets: Friday (6/12)

Season Record: 21-10

Brandon Lowe Over 0.5 Hits (-230 at BetRivers

Brandon Lowe has been below average as a hitter for most of the season, but for him, it's just more of the same. Lowe hasn’t 'hit for average' since 2020, and even then, he only peaked at .270 over the course of just 82 games in his second season in the league (2019). He has never quite reached the potential he flashed earlier in his career, but he has put up two 30 home run campaigns and is well on his way to another with 15 dingers so far. Tonight, Lowe will welcome Sandy Alcantara to the mound. Lowe has been excellent against the Marlins righty in 14 at-bats, sporting a .375 average with four extra base hits (6-14). For Alcantara's part, he hasn’t been great in 2026 and will come to the mound with a 4.33 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Hits and total bases are both in play here, but we will eat the juice and stick with the hit total due to Lowe struggling at the plate for most of the season. Light up the Over on Lowe at BetRivers.

Bryce Miller Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-113 at Kalshi)

Bryce Miller has been elite through his first few starts and comes into this one sporting an elite 1.77 ERA and 0.78 WHIP. Miller has really turned things around after a putrid 2025 season and is averaging over a K/9 for the first time in his career. Tonight, he squares off against a Washington Nationals team that should struggle against a pitcher who has held opponents to a .182 batting average against. Miller has struck out six or more batters in three of his last four starts and is a good bet to do so again against Washington. The Nationals average 8.28 strikeouts per game. Brandon Nimmo Over 0.5 Hits (-220 at BetMGM)

Nimmo has been solid in his first season with the Texas Rangers and comes into tonight’s contest with a decent .259 batting average. He is not someone we usually target here, but when given strong matchup metrics, we pounce. Nimmo is .385 lifetime vs. Sonny Gray, collecting five hits in 13 at-bats. Not one of his hits has gone for extra bases, so we will opt for the heavy juice hit line instead of the total base line today. Nimmo has hit .411 over his last four contests (7-17), so he is coming in with enough of a streak to attack his total tonight, even if Gray has been solid this season with a 3.20 ERA, albeit with a 1.24 WHIP. Eat the juice and go for the 0.5 hit line; the 1.5 makes zero sense. We would be better off with total bases if you are high-vig averse. Bump the Over on Nimmo for Friday night at BetMGM.
