The MLB season is in full swing. Every Friday in this column, we will seek to attack pitcher matchups. We won't bore you with exclusively under only plays, but we won't shy away from them if they offer more value than usual. Total strikeouts, outs recorded, and, as the season progresses, total hits and total bases; they're all in play. Let’s dig into our top MLB player props and picks for Friday’s slate of games.

MLB Player Props & Bets: Friday (9/11)

George Springer Over 0.5 Hits (-257 at Underdog)
George Springer has been struggling at the plate in September, batting just .111 over seven games. However, he has a plus matchup tonight against a pitcher in Chris Bassitt who has had his own struggles but has faced them all season. Springer has a modest .250 lifetime batting average against Bassitt but does have three extra base hits in his five hits (5-20), with two of them being long balls.
Chris Bassitt has been horrendous for Baltimore this season and will toe the slab with an unsightly 4.96 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. He is someone to target with hitter props until he irons out his propensity to allow base runners. Springer has been much better at home this season, where he hits .264 compared to just .227 on the road, so expect him to take advantage of some home cooking and a pitcher he has had success against in the past.
Ronald Acuna Over 0.5 Hits (-203 at Kalshi)
Ronald Acuna has been solid for Atlanta this season, hitting .253 to go with 16 home runs, 45 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. He is far from the player he was at his peak, but is still a solid play given plus matchups, and tonight he has a double whammy. Not only does he get to face a struggling pitcher in Aaron Nola, but it is a pitcher he has dominated to the tune of a .339 lifetime average over 56 at-bats (19-56).
Aaron Nola has struggled this season to the tune of a 4.76 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. He has actually been pitching well lately, so there is more risk here than his season numbers suggest, but this is a matchup play and not purely an attack on a struggling arm. Tap the Over on Acuna at what is a very fair number at Kalshi, given that the total has already jumped to 1.5 at some books.
Blake Snell Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-300 at Kalshi)
Blake Snell has been elite for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season and will step to the mound with a cool 1.97 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 12.1 K/9. He missed most of the season recovering from elbow surgery but has looked dominant in his five starts since returning to the lineup.
Snell is expected to have another quality start against a Miami team that struggles against left-handed pitchers. They are the 10th worst in the league with a 23.2 percent strikeout rate against southpaws and have averaged 9.33 strikeouts per game over their last three contests. The Marlins average 8.21 strikeouts per game on the season. The 7.5 total is far too high, so we will have dropped it to 5.5, a number he has hit in four of his six games this season (for context, he only topped eight K's in two of his six games this season).
