Jose Soriano Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-147)

The Los Angeles Angels welcome the Colorado Rockies to the Big A in Anaheim, and Jose Soriano looks to keep up the good work. He is 6-4 with a 2.65 ERA and 1.15 WHIP, while racking up 78 strikeouts, which is tied for ninth in the Majors.

The Halos have won just 23 games, but Soriano has six wins, and they’re 7-5 in the 12 games he has started. The Angels have won 30.4% of their games when Soriano is on the bump.

The secret to his success has been his ability to keep the ball in the yard while posting high strikeout totals. He’ll face a Colorado team that has struck out 541 times, third-most in the Majors. Soriano has 40 strikeouts across 34.2 innings in six home starts. He should hit his target here.

Kyle Freeland Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+119)

On the flip side, the southpaw Kyle Freeland starts for the Rockies, and he has had trouble sticking around. The veteran southpaw is 1-6 with an 8.08 ERA and 1.75 WHIP this season.

Freeland is coming off a dismal start, allowing eight runs and nine hits, including three homers, in four innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road last Tuesday. He struck out four batters and has four or fewer strikeouts in four starts in a row.

Freeland has had trouble keeping the ball in the yard, as he served up 10 homers in just 21.2 innings across five May starts. He can rack up high strikeout totals, especially against the No. 1 team in the Majors in terms of strikeouts, as the Angels have whiffed an MLB-high 569 times.

However, Freeland won’t last long enough to hit his marks. At plus-money odds, let’s go low on his total and hope the Angels hit him hard early.

Ketel Marte Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135)

Ketel Marte and the Diamondbacks get a crack at the Los Angeles Dodgers for the fourth time this season, and the first time in Phoenix. The good news for Arizona is that righty Emmet Sheehan starts for the Dodgers.

Sheehan is 1-1 with a 6.52 ERA across 19.1 innings in four road starts, while serving up five homers. Teams are hitting .296 against Sheehan, too. Look for Marte to be one of the biggest beneficiaries.

Marte had the team’s lone RBI on a sacrifice fly in Sunday’s game in Seattle. He is 1-for-4 with a solo homer in his career against Sheehan. While the sample size is small, it’s still impressive.

Marte is hitting .306 (33-for-108) at home this season, with eight doubles, two triples, three homers, a .500 slugging rate and an .861 OPS. He should take advantage of Sheehan today.

Julio Rodriguez or Randy Arozarena: Either Batter to Hit a Home Run (+241)

The Mariners sluggers will face an opener in righty Austin Warren, making his first-ever MLB start. The Mets will then turn it over to a decent bullpen. However, we get two chances at an anytime home run, and we can still double up. That’s a great value.

Julio Rodriguez has 12 homers this season, including three homers and six RBI in the past four games. Seven of his homers have come at home, too. Randy Arozarena has just six homers, and none in the past five outings. However, four of his six homers have come at home. Rodriguez is the more likely option to go deep, but Arozarena has started to heat up a little lately.
