MLB Player Props & Bets: Rays vs. Guardians (Saturday)
The Milwaukee Brewers made quick work of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series (NLCS), but the American League Championship Series (ALCS) between the Guardians and Rays is still a work in progress, with Game 4 scheduled for tonight at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Let's talk about the best MLB player props for tonight.
At this stage of the season, both teams are stacked with talent. But which ones offer value in player props? Here are my top picks.

Saturday’s Best MLB Player Props
Nick Martinez Over 3.5 Hits Allowed (+100 at BetMGM)
The tough part about pitching props at this time of year is that short leashes are common. Nick Martinez lasted at least five innings in eight of his last 10 regular-season starts but got pulled after 3.2 innings in his American League Division Series (ALDS) start versus the Yankees. The Guardians’ lineup has hit .224 against Martinez in 58 at-bats.
Martinez often did his best work on the road during the regular season, so I can see the Rays giving him a longer leash - and enough time for Cleveland to record four hits. Cleveland is hitting .230 in the postseason and .257 in this series.
Nick Martinez Over 11.5 Outs Recorded (-150 at bet365)
Short leashes are common in the postseason. But with a pitcher who has a 2.38 road ERA and won seven games in 16 road starts, you might give Nick Martinez a little more room to work. He recorded 11 outs against the Yankees, but if he can get off to a solid start against a team that has hit .224 against him, he'll last through the fourth.
Chase DeLauter Over 1.5 Total Bases (+165 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
Hitters have struggled in this series, and that trend will likely continue today. However, Chase DeLauter has enjoyed a solid postseason, batting .300 with nine hits in 30 at-bats. He’s been even better in the ALCS, hitting .400 with four hits in 10 at-bats, including three extra-base hits (two doubles and a home run). DeLauter is also .333 against Martinez (1-for-3) and .391 against Tampa Bay pitchers (9-for-23).
If anyone is going to go over this total, it's the young rookie with the hot bat.
Jose Ramirez 2+ Hits (+300 at BetMGM)
Jose Ramirez hasn’t had much success against Martinez (1-11; 0.091). But he’s hit .500 in the ALCS, with six hits in 12 at-bats, including two or more hits in two out of three games and four total in the postseason. If he has trouble against Nick Martinez, Ramirez has hit .253 against the Rays, with 24 hits in 95 at-bats.
