Saturday’s Top MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jordan Waker 2+ Total Bases (+158)

Jordan Walker is hitting .313 on the season (15-for 48). He has seven extra-base hits, including five home runs and five walks. That gives Walker 32 total bases to date.

Red Sox pitcher Ranger Suarez has struggled through his two starts, giving up 13 hits and walking three (1.92 WHIP) through 8.1 innings. In three career at-bats versus Suarez, Walker is 1-for-3.

Matt Chapman 3+ Hits + Runs + RBIs (+199)

Matt Chapman leads the Giants with a .315 batting average. He has gone over this total in four of his last five games. Orioles starter Chris Bassitt struggled through his first two starts, giving up 12 hits and 10 earned runs in 6.1 innings of work.

Chapman is 0-for-6 lifetime against Bassitt, but with how Bassitt has pitched this season, I like Chapman's chances to go over this mark if he can get at least two at-bats versus Bassitt.

Corbin Carroll 2+ Total Bases (+110)

Corbin Carroll is hitting .333 to start the season (14-for-42) with eight extra-base hits, including two home runs and six walks.

Phillies starter Taijuan Walker has a 2.28 WHIP through two starts (9.1 innings), giving up a total of 17 hits and five walks. Carroll could certainly go over this total in one at-bat, but if he gets to face Walker at least twice, this prop has some real value.

Kodai Senga Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+100)

I am a little surprised this prop has plus-money odds. In his two starts to date, Kodai Senga has recorded seven strikeouts (vs. the Giants) and nine strikeouts (vs. the Cardinals).

Through 13 games, the A's are sixth in the league with 133 strikeouts, averaging 10+ punchouts per game. Senga has gone 5.2 and six innings in his first two starts. With how frequently the A's strike out, I love his chances of going over this mark if he lasts at least five innings.

Sal Stewart 1+ Home Runs (+436) & Elly De La Cruz 1+ Home Runs (+571)

Overall, the Reds’ lineup is underperforming so far this season. But Sal Stewart is off to a solid start with a .340 batting average and four home runs to his name. Elly De La Cruz is not hitting nearly as well (.236) but also has four home runs this season.

Angels starter George Klassen has yet to give up a home run, but he only lasted 2.2 innings in his only start, giving up three hits and walking five.

The Angels’ bullpen has only given up four home runs on the season. But at home run-friendly Great American Ball Park (19 total home runs), I like either Stewart or De La Cruz to hit one out today, either off Klassen or a reliever.
