Hopefully, your weekend got off to a great and profitable start betting on last night's MLB slate. Saturday's slate is going to be a busy one, giving bettors plenty of opportunities to keep the good times rolling. In this post, we'll focus on the best MLB player props. These are not the only solid betting options, of course. But these are my favorite picks for the day and the ones I'm betting on.

Saturday’s Best MLB Player Props
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Paul Skenes Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+110)
Paul Skenes lasted only five innings in his last start, but he went eight innings deep in the two starts before that one. He has gone over this number in four of his 10 starts and three of his last five.
Against a Toronto lineup hitting .215 over the last week, Skenes should be able to take care of business and go over this total. At +110, this is a solid value play.
Michael Lorenzen Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-146)
Michael Lorenzen only went five innings (15 outs) in his last road start and has lasted longer than that in just three of his 11 starts this season. While he only went five innings in his last road start, Lorenzen went beyond five innings in his previous two road outings.
Lorenzen’s track record is not an encouraging one if you're a Rockies fan. It's more likely he gets pulled before finishing the fifth inning than for him to last beyond it. Arizona has hit well over the last week, so I'd be surprised to see him on the mound after the fifth inning.
Adrian Houser Under 16.5 Outs Recorded (+100)
This one is a little risky for two reasons:
- Houser has lasted beyond 16.5 outs (5.2 innings) in five of his nine starts this season, including the last three.
- The White Sox have been hitting just .228 over the last week, making it hard to say they'll do enough damage to chase Houser early.
However, if there is a pitcher the White Sox lineup could come alive against, it's Houser. He has not done his best work at home this season (three starts) - 0-2 with a 7.31 ERA, and opponents have hit .338 against him at Oracle Park.
In those three home starts, Houaer went over this total (six innings), including his last home start against the Padres on May 6th. But considering his overall body of work, this prop is a solid value play at +100.
