MLB Player Props & Bets: Saturday (7/18)
The MLB All-Star break is a good thing, but thankfully it doesn't last too long. Why? Because we don't have to miss a full schedule like the MLB has in store for us today. Of course, a full schedule means we have hundreds of MLB player props to choose from.
As always, there are lots of great options. Here are my top picks.

Saturday’s Best MLB Player Props
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Max Meyer Over 15.5 Outs Recorded (-114)
I'm a little surprised that the under doesn't have plus-money odds. Early in the season, Max Meyer seldom lasted longer than five innings (once in his first six starts), but since then, he has gone over five innings in 10 out of 13 starts.
It's not like the Marlins pull Meyer out of the game when it’s too late and he gives up a few runs. He has a 9-1 record with a 2.58 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP. Once he gets within a certain pitch range, the Marlins tend to pull him.
With how the Brewers hit yesterday, I don't think he'll get close to that range in fewer than six innings. Take the over.
J.T. Ginn Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (-104)
J.T. Ginn is a solid pitcher (7-6, 3.67 ERA, 1.25 WHIP), but he faces a red-hot Nationals lineup fresh off 21 hits in a 23-4 rout. Earlier this season, Washington was quieter after double-digit scoring games but still usually scored five or more runs. In his last three starts before the break, Ginn went under this number twice. But in June, he went over this line in four of his five starts.
As long as Ginn doesn't get pulled early, I see no reason why the Nationals can’t clear this number. After using five relievers last night, I doubt the Athletics will be quick to go to the bullpen today.
Shane Bieber Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (+108)
Since returning from the injured list (IL), Shane Bieber has struggled. He has lasted fewer than five innings in three out of four starts, has a 2.04 WHIP and teams are hitting .342 against him (.359 at home). His control has definitely been lacking as he has given up three or more walks in each of his last three starts.
Chicago got six hits off Spencer Miles in four innings of work yesterday, and Miles has been pitching well (1.13 WHIP, .220 opponents’ batting average).
Over the last week, the White Sox have hit a decent .261 (in three games). They tagged J.T. Ginn with six hits in 4.1 innings in their last game before the break. The White Sox will get at least six hits off Bieber, as long as he lasts at least four innings.
