MLB Player Props & Bets: Saturday (8/15)
The MLB season rolls on today with a full slate of games starting early in the day (White Sox vs. Tigers at 1:10 p.m. ET) and ending with the Texas Rangers versus the Athletics at 9:40 p.m. ET. So many games mean we've got a ton of MLB player props to choose from. Below are my top picks for the day.

Cam Schlittler Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+122)
In two previous games against Toronto this season, Cam Schlittler had seven strikeouts in each. The Blue Jays are tied for third with 57 strikeouts over the last week (seven games). That comes out to eight per game, with no starter in that stretch going over this total.
Gerrit Cole only had five punchouts against the Blue Jays last night, but Schlittler is one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball (fourth with 182 strikeouts). He had at least six punchouts in his last seven starts and eight or more in five of them.
At +122, there is too much value in this prop to pass up.
Jacob Misiorowski Over 8.5 Strikeouts (-125)
Jacob Misiorowski is one of the best pitchers in baseball this season and is extremely hard to hit on the road (.135 opponents’ batting average). He is averaging nearly nine strikeouts per game on the road this season but had 10 and 11 in his last two.
The Dodgers haven't been striking out a lot (45 strikeouts in their last seven games), but they aren't doing a great job of hitting the ball either (.227 average). It is doubtful their bats will wake up against Misiorowski. Since he has gone over this total in five of his last six games, I'm definitely taking the over.
Chandler Simpson 2+ Total Bases (+110) & Yandy Diaz 2+ Total Bases (+110)
Both Chandler Simpson and Yandy Diaz have been on a bit of a roll in recent games. Simpson has hit .500 over the last week (11–for-22), while Diaz hit .379 (11-for-29). Each has hit safely in the last five games and gone over this total in four of those games.
Orioles starter Kyle Bradish is a solid pitcher (3.69 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, .245 opponents’ batting average), but he has had some issues on the road, where teams are hitting .292 against him. Diaz is 10-for-25 versus Bradish, so if you just want to go with one player, I lean towards him.
But with how Simpson has been hitting over the last week, it would be hard to pass him up (take both in a same-game parlay at +318 odds).
