Sunday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Will Warren Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Will Warren has registered a 4.05 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 18 walks and 60 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. But the Yankees righty has deserved better results, as highlighted by a 3.21 SIERA.

We’re starting to see Warren get in a rhythm, putting up seven or more strikeouts in four consecutive starts, including a ceiling of 10 strikeouts versus the Rangers in his last outing.

While this is a matchup at Coors Field, the Rockies still have the third-highest strikeout rate at home. Given what we’ve seen from Warren lately, there’s a reasonable chance he sails over this number.

Colton Gordon Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-110)

Colton Gordon has put up 10 strikeouts in 9.2 innings in his two big-league starts this year. This includes seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings against the Rays in his last turn and three strikeouts in 4.1 frames versus the Royals in his MLB debut.

This is a lefty who had posted a 25.3% strikeout rate at Triple-A this year, so 4.5 strikeouts isn’t a high bar for him.

It also helps that this is a good matchup against a Mariners offense that has registered a 30.9% strikeout rate against lefties in the last 14 days. Bet on Gordon to get to five or more strikeouts in this exploitable spot.

Kris Bubic Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-110)

Kris Bubic has shown a high ceiling this year, putting up seven or more strikeouts in four of his 10 starts, including nine against the Astros on May 13th.

The Royals lefty has been one of the most surprising breakouts of the season, as highlighted by his 1.47 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 61.1 innings.

You have to like the matchup against the Twins, who have posted a 25.2% strikeout rate against lefties this year, which ranks 23rd in MLB. Considering that Bubic has gone over this number in six of his 10 games this season, you have to like his chances of getting there against Minnesota.
