Merrill Kelly Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-137)

Coming back from an injury is never easy, which Merrill Kelly knows all too well. The Arizona hurler has struggled to find his footing since returning from a nerve irritation, registering a dismal 9.21 ERA and 2.25 WHIP in three starts (14.2 innings).

Kelly has not worked beyond the fifth inning in either of his past two outings, despite crossing the 100-pitch barrier each time. An inability to work ahead in counts or force quick outs is killing him.

Don’t expect that to change on Sunday. The Cubs have posted the second-most runs per game (5.36) and fourth-highest OPS (.775) in the Majors. Chicago is a top-10 squad in contact rate (76.0%) and 3-0 counts seen (76) as well.

They are not afraid to take pitches and will foul balls off to keep at-bats alive. Overall, only four of the previous 13 starting pitchers the Cubs have faced have recorded more than 15 outs. Watch for Kelly to get chased early.

Chase Burns Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-131)

A fastball that averages 98 miles per hour (MPH) and a slider that features significant sweep is a deadly combination. That is what batters are finding out when battling Cincinnati’s Chase Burns.

The 23-year-old fireballer’s high whiff rate (34.1%) has helped him tally at least seven strikeouts in four of his six starts. It’s a trend that Burns has carried over from 2025, where he averaged an impressive 13.9 strikeouts per nine innings across 13 MLB appearances.

Sunday’s matchup provides Burns with a chance to rack up strikeouts with ease. The Pirates have logged the highest whiff rate in the National League (27.7%) and the third-most strikeouts in all of baseball (320).

That’s what happens when players with strikeout rates above the league average (22.6%) are hitting toward the top of the lineup. Pittsburgh’s Oneil Cruz (35.9%) and Bryan Reynolds (26.5%) fit that bill. Trust Burns to remain dominant.

Brice Turang to Hit a Home Run (+525)

Targeting Washington’s Zack Littell in the home run department has been a profitable move for over a year now. The veteran right-hander has allowed more homers than any other pitcher this season (13) after surrendering the second-most jacks during the 2025 campaign (36).

It’s not hard to understand why, either. Littell ranks outside of the top 350 MLB arms in barrel rate (14.5%) and average exit velocity (93.6 MPH) through six outings.

Anticipate the Brewers teeing off at Nationals Park on Sunday afternoon. I’ll back second baseman Brice Turang to leave the yard. While being known for his gold-glove caliber defense, Turang has showcased some sneaky power.

Four home runs and a top-30 hard hit rate among MLB pros (51.9%) is nothing to scoff at. Take note that Turang is also 5-for-10 with two blasts versus Littell. Lock this wager in for a shot at a big payout.
