    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Kris Bubic Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)

Kris Bubic has put up a 1.45 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 20 walks and 70 strikeouts in 68.1 innings. The Royals lefty has turned it on lately. Take a look at his game log:

    • 7.0 Innings, 2 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 2 Walks, 9 Strikeouts
    • 7.2 Innings, 2 Hits, 0 Earned Runs, 3 Walks, 5 Strikeouts
    • 6.1 Innings, 6 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 1 Walk, 9 Strikeouts
    • 7.0 Innings, 6 Hits, 0 Earned Runs, 1 Walk, 7 Strikeouts

Not only has he gone over 5.5 strikeouts in three of these four starts, but he’s comfortably eclipsed that number, featuring seven or more punchouts in three outings, including two games with nine strikeouts.

It also helps that the Tigers have a 24.1 strikeout rate versus lefties in the last 14 days.

Chris Paddack Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-140)

Chris Paddack has been quietly effective of late:

    • 5.1 Innings, 5 Hits, 2 Earned Runs, 0 Walks, 5 Strikeouts
    • 5.1 Innings, 7 Hits, 2 Earned Runs, 2 Walks, 2 Strikeouts
    • 7.0 Innings, 3 Hits, 0 Earned Runs, 1 Walk, 3 Strikeouts
    • 7.1 Innings, 3 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 0 Walks, 6 Strikeouts
    • 5.0 Innings, 5 Hits, 3 Earned Runs, 2 Walks, 2 Strikeouts
    • 5.0 Innings, 4 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 1 Walk, 2 Strikeouts
    • 5.0 Innings, 5 Hits, 2 Earned Runs, 4 Walks, 5 Strikeouts
    • 5.0 Innings, 3 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 1 Walk, 6 Strikeouts
    • 5.0 Innings, 2 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 2 Walks, 5 Strikeouts

As you can see above, the Twins righty has allowed two earned runs or fewer in eight of his last nine outings. I’ll bet that this trend continues in a pitcher-friendly environment at T-Mobile Park.

What’s great about this prop is that Paddack usually doesn’t go deep into games, maxing out at five innings in five of the last nine outings. Let’s ride with the veteran to keep it rolling in this start.

Corbin Burnes Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Corbin Burnes has gotten back on track since returning from injury on May 10th:

      • 7.0 Innings, 5 Hits, 0 Earned Runs, 1 Walk, 5 Strikeouts
      • 6.0 Innings, 2 Hits, 0 Earned Runs, 3 Walks, 10 Strikeouts
      • 7.0 Innings, 4 Hits, 3 Earned Runs, 1 Walk, 8 Strikeouts
      • 7.0 Innings, 6 Hits, 2 Earned Runs, 2 Walks, 6 Strikeouts

We’re getting a low bar at 5.5 strikeouts, especially when you consider the recent ceiling that Burnes has shown, including two outings with eight or more strikeouts in his last four.

While the Nationals have red-hot bats, Burnes has an 18.5 outs prop in this game and has reached seven innings in three of his last four starts. If the veteran righty can get to that type of volume once again, six strikeouts should be easily attainable.
