Today’s Best To Hit A Home Run Prop Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Daulton Varsho (+400) & Vlad Guerrero Jr. (+310)

While the Blue Jays have been underperforming this season, they tend to beat up on bad RHP pitchers. In 2023, the Jays rank seventh in wOBA (.328), sixth in wRC+ (110), 13th in ISO (.165), and ninth in HRs (82) against RHP.

Lance Lynn has allowed 22 HRs this season, by far the most among today’s listed pitchers. Of those 22 HRs, 16 have been left-handed hitters, which sets up Varsho with excellent value today.

All 12 of Varsho’s HRs have been against RHP. He currently is tied for the team lead in HRs, with Guerrero and Bo Bichette, against right-handed pitching.

Byron Buxton (+300)

Alec Marsh is making his second start of the season for the Royals. His Debut did not go well, as he allowed five runs on six hits, including two HRs.

While the Twins’ offense has been inconsistent for the first half of the season, the one thing they have been able to do is beat up on weak right-handed pitching. They rank inside the top 10 in ISO, wRC+, and HRs. Buxton is leading the charge for his club, as he sits second in HRs (12) and ISO .237.

Honorable Mention: Joey Gallo

If Gallo is in the lineup, I will also take his HR Prop. Of his 15 HR, 13 have come against RHP. The Twins’ .294 ISO also ranks 11th highest in the MLB.

At the time of write-up, Gallo’s odds were not available.
