Christopher Morel o0.5 HR (+800)
Morel has been a fantastic find for the Cubs’ player development team and has had a great start to his career. He faces Hunter Greene in GABP and should see a heavy dose of fastballs. Morel crushes fastballs, and this is a great matchup for a home run for him.
Jose Berrios 04.5 K (+105)
Berrios has been downright awful in 2022, but I like his odds today. While the Baltimore offense has not necessarily been strikeout prone, Berrios is currently at 144 Ks. The Blue Jays have little to play for as they have already locked up a spot, so they have the luxury of letting Berrios push his way through this one.
Steven Kwan o0.5 SB (+600)
Let’s continue with our milestone bets. Kwan has 19 SBs on the season, and with the Guardians locked into the three seed, they have no room to improve their position. They should allow Kwan and others near milestones to reach the numbers. Andres Giminez is also in a similar position.
Austin Riley o1.5 TB (+120)
This is a bet I have frequently taken here as Riley is the Braves’ best hitter against lefties, and today they are facing Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo is a tough lefty to face, but Riley has a wRC+ of 206 on the season.
Patrick Sandoval o1.5 BB (+115)
Sandoval’s biggest issue all season long has been throwing strikes. He has allowed nearly four walks per nine innings. While he has had stretches of zero or one walk allowed in games, he walked two A’s last time he faced them, and I think this should not be a plus odds bet.
