MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks for Saturday, July 30 (2022)

Today is a good day to take advantage of some better-performing teams going against the struggling ones. We have a few heavy favorites where we can parlay some of the props and look for a good return.

Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees

  • Leg 1: Yankees -1.5 (-144)
  • Leg 2: Over 8.5 (-114)
  • Leg 3: Aaron Judge to record 3+ total bases (+125)
  • Leg 4 Nestor Cortez under 6.5 strikeouts (-152)

The rein of the Nasty Nestor continues into the second half of the season. He has a 2.39 ERA, and three quality starts in four July appearances.

The strikeout rate has dipped over the last couple of months, but so have his walks. He already has a good start against the Royals, allowing one earned in five innings.

Jonathan Heasley will make his first start since July 9, having recovered from shoulder tendinitis. The shoulder issues could be why he struggles with a 9.56 ERA in his last four starts.

He has no problem challenging you with his fastball as he’ll throw it in the strike zone, but it does come back to bite him with a .542 SLG off the pitch. He’s also had problems giving up the long ball with 1.5 home runs per nine and in what would be an xHR of 10 at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees have one of the best power-hitting lineups in baseball. They’re leading the league with a .442 slugging and 1.69 home runs per nine. It should be a big day for them.

Oakland Athletics vs. Chicago White Sox

  • Leg 1: White Sox -1.5 (+110)
  • Leg 2: Over 8.5 (-112)
  • Leg 3: Under 0.5 runs in the first inning (-113)

The bottom has fallen out for Blackburn after an impressive first half, including his first all-star trip. He’s been lit up in his last three starts surrendering 21 earned in his previous 14.1 innings and allowing opposing batters to hit .328.

The White Sox have been on an excellent offensive run as of late, hitting .265, with a .305 BABIP and a 108 wRC+, all of which are in the top 10. Although a small sample size, the White Sox Roster is hitting .292 with an xBA of .338.

Johnny Cueto has been nothing but dependable for a White Sox rotation. Coming into today, he leads the starters with 1.185 WHIP, along with 11 quality starts out of 13. Unlike Blackburn, Cueto has success against this Oakland roster with a .103 average in 41 at-bats.

You have to fade the struggling Blackburn going against this White Sox lineup and Cueto’s consistency.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Ranger Suarez moved into the rotation almost a year ago and has excelled in the role ever since. One of the starts was against the Pirates last season, where he pitched a complete game shutout, and this Pirates lineup has not gotten any better during that time.

Mitch Keller had a good stretch in May and June, but he’s struggled again with a 4.05 ERA in his last five starts. Even when he pitches well, this lineup has failed to give any support. The team has been shut out twice in four of his starts this month.

Phillies have success off Keller, batting .439 in 41 at-bats, so even if he gets run support, they can’t out-hit the Phillies.
