Friday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Picks
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Seattle Mariners vs. San Francisco Giants
- Leg 1: Over 8 Runs (-102)
- Leg 2: Giants Moneyline (-158)
The Giants have gotten off to a nice start this season (5-1), while the Mariners have gone 3-4.
Justin Verlander is getting the start for the Giants. While he is not the pitcher he once was, he did have a solid first outing last Saturday (five innings, six hits, two runs, five strikeouts). The Mariners have called up Luis Castillo for his first start in The Show. He had previously been called up in 2022 when he was with Detroit and made three relief appearances.
I'm not sure whose offense I have more faith in, but Verlander's habit of giving up home runs and Castillo's lack of experience set the stage for a lot of runs to be scored in this game. More so by the Giants since the Mariners are struggling to get hits this season.
I'm not a Verlander fan, but the Giants are playing baseball better than the Mariners. San Francisco should win this one easily.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies SGP #1
- Leg 1: Dodgers Moneyline (-148)
- Leg 2: Under 8 Runs (-110)
The Dodgers have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. The Phillies have the highest batting average. But L.A. has yet to lose this season, and I'm not betting against them until they do. It will happen eventually, but with the talent on this roster, it could take a while.
As potent as the Phillies’ bats are, Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been very stingy, giving up just eight hits and three runs across 10 innings (two starts). Phillies starter Jesus Luzardo is off to a solid start as well (five innings, five hits, two runs). Based on what we've seen of both pitchers, they'll give up a few hits and maybe a few runs. However, the score will not get out of hand and will remain low.
Parlay Odds: +232
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies SGP #2
- Leg 1: Yoshinobu Yamamoto 7+ Strikeouts (+125)
- Leg 2: Jesus Luzardo 6+ strikeouts (-160)
Yamamoto struck out 10 his last time out and Luzardo struck out 11. I don't think it's unreasonable to think they could record seven or more and six or more strikeouts this time.
Parlay Odds: +330
Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves
- Leg 1: Marlins Moneyline (+195)
- Leg 2: Under 7.5 Runs (-112)
Miami has gotten off to a respectable 4-3 start this season while Atlanta is surprisingly winless (0-7).
Max Meyer, who is getting the nod for the Marlins, had a solid outing in his first start on Sunday, going 5.2 innings, striking out seven and giving up one run (a home run). Atlanta starter Spencer Schwellenbach had an even better first start - six innings, one hit, zero runs and four strikeouts.
With how both pitchers have started the season, I can't see too many runs getting scored while they are in the game. However, one of the problems for the Braves is their bullpen. So, don't expect too many runs early on for either team. But the Marlins will knock in a few off a Braves reliever late in the game to seal a win.
