MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Friday (5/16)
It's a busy day for MLB baseball teams around the country on Friday, with every team seeing action starting with the Chicago White Sox and Cubs at 2:20 p.m. ET.
I've done my deep dive into the day's betting slate and found a few intriguing MLB same-game parlays (SGPs) with enticing MLB picks and props.
The following qualified to be on my best MLB same-game parlays betting card.

I cannot figure out why this game has such a high total. Neither team is hitting the ball well over the last week (Cubs: .191; White Sox: .206), nor have they even been in a game where 12+ runs were scored in well over a week (White Sox: April 26; Cubs: May 6). Neither pitcher has been hit hard either. Shane Smith has a 2.08 ERA and hasn't allowed more than three runs in a single game.
Cade Horton and his 6.75 ERA gave up three runs in four innings in his only other start. The Cubs’ pen has not been bad either (4.59 ERA).
This score will not come close to 12.5 runs, and I'm pulling for the White Sox to win since Smith has been pitching so well and the White Sox are struggling at the plate.

Washington Nationals (-110) vs. Baltimore Orioles (-110) | O/U 9.0 (-110/-110)

There have been 20 games played at Oriole Park in Camden Yards this season. Those 20 games have featured 75 home runs. Cade Povich has given up six across his last four starts, including five at home, but he did not give up a homer against the Nationals on the road on April 24th. MacKenzie Gore has given up five home runs across his last three starts, but did not allow one to the Orioles in that same game on April 24th.
Despite neither giving up a home run to the other team in that April matchup, there is a very good chance we'll see a couple of home runs hit in this game. CJ Abrams has not gone long this month, but he's been hitting .429 over the last week. I like his chances of making contact and hitting one out. Gunnar Henderson has hit three over the last week; five of his nine hits in that span went for extra bases.

Tigers starter Jack Flaherty has been on a run of bad luck with losses in his last five games, allowing 18 runs across those games. Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis has been getting hit hard as well, giving up 18 runs across his last five starts. Flaherty has given up nine home runs this season; Francis has allowed 12. Rogers Centre has seen the second-most home runs hit this season (67 in 22 games).
Francis has had a couple of games allowing multiple home runs. With the frequency at which home runs get hit at the Rogers Centre, I'm expecting at least two bombs tonight. Kerry Carpenter has nine this season, seven off right-handed pitchers (which Francis is). Riley Greene has hit two jacks in the last week and has 10 total on the season, including nine off right-handed pitchers.
