Friday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlays

New York Yankees at Miami Marlins

Yankees ML (+120) and o4.5 Runs (+135)

There has been a ton of talk about the struggles of the Yankees’ offense, and Jesus Luzardo has looked like an ace at times throughout this season. However, I really like this bet from the Yankees’ side of things today. The Yankees’ offense has actually been good against lefties this season with a 110 wRC+ which makes sense when you think of their roster construction. Their three best hitters are right-handed, and all have enough power to help carry a flawed offense. Luzardo has allowed four ER in his last two outings. Randy Vasquez is rumored to be starting for the Yankees. Vasquez has some impressive stuff with nice K numbers in the minors, and in his short stints in the majors, he has struggled with walks. This is an issue that also existed for him at the minors level. Miami does not walk much, making this a good pairing for Vasquez to keep them off the board.

Aaron Judge 2+ TBs (+135)

No matter how much he has “struggled” since returning, Judge is still one of the best power hitters in baseball. We may never see his TB prop at this cost ever again. Don’t overthink it. bet on Judge here.

Detroit Tigers at Boston Red Sox

Tigers ML (+125) and o4.5 Runs (+110)

This is a fantastic matchup between left-handers in Tarik Skubal and Chris Sale. Sale is returning from injury and is likely to be on a pitch/innings limit today. This is the crux of why we are betting on the Tigers here. Sale had a weird season before getting hurt, but overall the numbers were really great. He had some major walk issues early on but got those under control a bit before getting hurt. I anticipate some rust in his return, but also, we are betting against the Red Sox bullpen. Their bullpen has a 4.47 ERA in the last 3o days, putting them in the bottom ten in baseball in that span. The Tigers’ offense has not exactly been great against lefties, but I like their chances to take advantage of this bullpen. Tarik Skubal has been excellent since returning, and I believe that he will keep that success up and give the Tigers a fantastic chance to win.

Jake Rogers 2+ TBs (+180)

The Tigers’ catcher is one of their best hitters versus lefties. He does not have a great AVG, but among his 14 hits versus lefties, he has 11 extra-base hits. When he gets a hit, it tends to be a loud one making him perfect for this bet.

Baltimore Orioles at Seattle Mariners

Orioles ML (+110) and o4.5 Runs (+150)

This is an awesome matchup of two of the hottest teams in baseball, with the Mariners winning nine of their last 10 games and the Orioles have won seven of 10. Kyle Gibson throws for the Orioles, and while he is nowhere near an ace, he has consistently done enough to put the Orioles in a position to win. The Mariners’ offense has been hot lately, so he will need the offense to help him win. Luis Castillo throws for the Mariners,’ and he has been really good overall this season. However, he is coming off his worst outing of the season, in which he allowed seven runs. He has had some issues at times with the long ball, allowing two or more homers in six of his last nine starts. The Orioles’ offense is not necessarily elite in the power department, but they have enough hitters with a strong floor of power, which may make them a difficult matchup for Castillo.

Gunnar Henderson 2+ TBs (+150)

Gunnar Henderson has seemingly made some significant changes to his profile since the All-Star Break with some interesting results. He has cut his K% in half with a slight reduction in BB% as well. This should make his overall line look a bit better; however, his wRC+ has actually dropped. Yet the power has grown as well, and his 0.273 second-half ISO makes him a great bet at this cost.
