Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres

    • Leg 1: OVER 8.5 Total Runs (-102)
    • Leg 2: Kris Bryant to record 2+ Total Bases (+120)
    • Leg 3: Matt Carpenter to record a hit (-160)

The Padres have high exceptions coming into this after bringing in more high-priced talent like Xander Bogaerts. It hasn’t been a great start to the season, as they’ve dropped the first two games in this series.

Michael Wacha is coming off a 2022 season that turned out to be one of the better ones he’s had since his early days in St. Louis. He could be in for a rough day because he does have some rough numbers against the Rockies’ top bats — Charlie Blackmon is batting .368, and Kris Bryant is hitting .350 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 40 at-bats.

A great two days for the Rockies by picking up wins, and the bats have been out for both. Jose Urena gets the start and finished 2022 strong, pitching at least five innings and allowing two or fewer runs in five of six starts. He also has some shakes history against the Padres lineup – Matt Carpenter is 4-for-5, David Dahl is 6-for-9, and Nelson Cruz has two home runs in eight at-bats.

This will be a game where both offenses put up some great numbers.

San Francisco Giants vs. New York Yankees

    • Leg 1: UNDER 8.5 Total Runs (-115)
    • Leg 2: Alex Cobb to record 5+ Strikeouts (-102)
    • Leg 3: Giants ML (+124)

The Yankees got an easy win in Game 1, with Cole and the staff pitching a shutout and Aaron Judge hitting the first home run of the MLB season. With injuries in the Yanks rotation, Clark Schmidt with step in for the time being. Aaron Boone won’t ask Schmidt to go more than five innings, so the bullpen could be important for this game.

The Giants’ offense will struggle to score this year, and it started that way by being blanked in the Bronx. Alex Wood should feel comfortable about pitching in Yankee Stadium after spending nine seasons in the AL East with the Rays and Orioles. He has excellent history against several guys in this lineup, with Judge batting .200, Stanton .083, and Donaldson .217.

I’m taking the veteran pitcher to help get the Giants their first win of 2023.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals

    • Leg 1: UNDER 8.5 Total Runs (-114)
    • Leg 2: Spencer Strider to record 5+ Strikeouts (-132)
    • Leg 3: Braves -1.5 (-156)

The NL East champs easily took care of business in the first game with a 7-2 win. This season will again have high aspirations, and they bring one of the best offenses and pitching staff in the league. Spencer Strider takes the bump coming off a stellar rookie campaign that had him finishing second in the NL rookie of the year voting.

Like they did last year, the Nationals could finish with one of the worse records in the league. The club is young, and they will go through a lot of growing pains this year. Josiah Gray had a rough sophomore campaign, with the Nats going 7-10 with a 5.02 ERA. Although, he did prove to be successful going 11 innings, allowing three hits and one earned in two starts against Atlanta.

If we can see Gray pitch like that, this should be a low-scoring game, but I still like the Braves’ lineup to pull them to a win.
