MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (7/8)

As we head into the final weekend before the All Star break, some teams are finishing out strong, while others are limping in. Let’s see if those trends continue on Saturday.

Saturday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Toronto Blue Jays at Detroit Tigers

    • Leg 1: Blue Jays -1.5 (-125)
    • Leg 2: Under 8 Runs (-108)
    • Leg 3: Kevin Gausman OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (-134)

The Blue Jays started the series strong with a 12-2 win and their fourth straight. Toronto has an absolute force of a team with the fourth-best record in the American League. Unfortunately, two of the teams in front of them are in the AL East. There’s an excellent opportunity to win this series today with Kevin Gausman, as he’s been their best starter and already had an incredible outing against Detroit going eight innings and allowing three earned.

Matt Manning also pitched in that series, but his start didn’t go well, allowing four earned and three home runs. He suffered a fracture in his right foot during that start that forced him to miss two months.

I like Gausman to out-duel Manning in this matchup, but Manning has yet to allow a home run or walk since his return, and he’ll keep this game close.

Seattle Mariners at Houston Astros

    • Leg 1: Astros Moneyline (-146)
    • Leg 2: Under 4.5 Runs in First 5 Innings (-135)
    • Leg 3: Bryan Woo OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Houston had won seven of their last eight going into this series, but Seattle has already taken the first two games. Astros fans were wondering how Framber Valdez would handle his delivery style with the pitch clock. It’s safe to say he doesn’t mind, and he’s leading the odds in the AL Cy Young race. He’s had great command of pitches this season with the 5.7% walk rate, and his cutter and curve keep hitters off balance with a 40+ whiff percentage.

The Mariners are looking for a strong finish to the unofficial first half, and they’ve won six of their last seven. Seattle’s sixth-best prospect Bryan Woo has put his dreadful debut start behind him. In his last five starts, he has a 2.36 ERA, opponents are batting .184, and the Mariners are 4-1.

I love Woo in this spot because his chase rate is in the 89th percentile. Houston doesn’t have the best plate discipline, as they’re 23rd in chase percentage. With Valdez on the other side, you can’t completely fade the Stros in this spot.

Baltimore Orioles at Minnesota Twins

    • Leg 1: Orioles Moneyline (+108)
    • Leg 2: Under 8.5 Runs (-122)
    • Leg 3: Anthony Santander 2+ Total Bases (+100)

The Orioles coming out party has commenced, and they are firmly in the AL playoff race. Tyler Wells has come into his own this year and is just one win away from tying his career high. He has great control with a 5.8 walk percentage, and although his whiff rate is just above average in the 56th percentile, he should have better numbers against Minnesota, who’s last in that category.

He must be at his best with Sonny Gray on the other side. Gray has been great the last few years, but this is one of his best starts to a season, and he has the chance to go into an All-Star break with a sub-3.00 ERA for the first time since 2015. His previous start was against the Orioles, and he was great by going six scoreless.

Gray got the no-decision as the Twins could only score once in a 2-1 loss. That’s been the trend most of the season with this struggling offense.
