The weather is getting warmer, and we’re fully into the MLB season. Let’s look at interesting matchups for tonight.

Sunday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

New York Yankees at Cincinnati Reds

  • Leg 1: Yankees -1.5 (+104)
  • Leg 2: OVER 9 Runs (-118)
  • Leg 3: Aaron Judge To Record 2+ Total Bases (-105)

The Yankees have now won four consecutive series and are looking for their second sweep in that span. The bats have come alive at this time, and they’re averaging 6.2 runs and 8.3 hits over the last 12 games. Luis Severino will make his 2023 debut and is coming off a very good 2022 campaign with a 3.18 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 19 appearances.

The Reds had one of their better starts in recent history, but this team is still not ready to compete. They have a lot of young players that need to develop before you’ll see them contend. Hunter Greene has amazing stuff. His fastball can top out well over 100 MPH, and he has a slider that he throws at about 88. The problem is he can’t locate his pitches, and if throwing the ball in triple digits in the strike zone, it will get smashed.

The Yankees are one of the best fastball-hitting teams in the league, and with the power they possess, they will get to Green.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Diamondback Moneyline (-130)
  • Leg 2: OVER 8.5 Runs (-118)
  • Leg 3: Merill Kelly OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-112)

The early start for the Pirates was a great story, but they have quickly fallen. They are just 4-12 over their last 16 games, and luckily, they haven’t taken too far of a dive in the standings. Roansy Contreras is in the middle of a bad stretch at the moment by losing three-straight starts with a 5.71 ERA.

The Diamondbacks are another early surprise that keeps on delivering, and although they’ve fallen out of first, it’s only because the Dodgers got really hot. The offense that wasn’t good last year but now they’re fourth in average and eighth in OPS. Merrill Kelly has been great as a part of this top of the rotation and has quality starts in five of the last seven outings.

The pitching matchup heavily favors the D-Backs, and they will grab the series win.

Parlay Odds: +519

Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros

  • Leg 1: Houston Astros -1.5 (-166)
  • Leg 2: OVER 8.5 Runs (-110)
  • Leg 3: Yordan Alvarez To Record 3+ Total Bases (+160)

As expected, the Astros have been able to win this series and are on the verge of a sweep. The defending champions started the season slowly but have won nine of their last ten. Framber Valdez has been their best pitcher this year as he leads the starters in wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

There isn’t much to say about the Athletics’ performance on the field that hasn’t already been said. James Kaprielian has bounced from the rotation to the bullpen and back into the rotation. He’s struggled in both situations but is coming off his best appearance this season by going seven innings, allowing three earned against Texas.

The A’s still lost that game as they were shut out, and I don’t expect much offense against Valdez, who’s been amazing this season.

Parlay Odds: +695
