MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (7/9)

As we head into the final day before the All-Star Break, some teams are finishing out strong, while others are limping in. Let’s see if those trends continue on Sunday.

Saturday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Texas Rangers at Washington Nationals

  • Leg 1: Rangers -1.5 (-125)
  • Leg 2: Under 10.5 Runs (-115)
  • Leg 3: Rangers OVER 5.5 Runs (-130)

Dan Dunning doesn’t have blow-you-away stuff, but his ability to control his pitches is why he’s having one of his best seasons with a 2.61 ERA. His ability to keep the ball down and induce ground balls will play well against Washington, who has the third-highest ground ball percentage this season.

When you look at a pitching matchup and see Patrick Corbin, it’s tough not to fade him. He’s had an abysmal stretch with the Nationals going 22-52 with a 5.67 ERA since 2020 and has led the league in losses and earned runs in back-to-back years.

One of the top offenses in the league should be all over this game.

Parlay Odds: +497

Kansas City Royals at Cleveland Guardians

At the top of this Guardians’ rotation, Shane Bieber is their saving grace. Inconsistencies and injuries have impacted this pitching staff, and although his underlying metrics aren’t the best, he’s still given them 11 quality starts out of 18 trips to the mound.

A little over two months to the day after Ryan Yarbrough took a 106 MPH line drive to the head, he will make his return. Leading up to that moment, his season had not been going well, even when he was moved into the rotation, and he had a 4.73 ERA in three starts.

The Guardians are 27th in runs scored per game at 4.02, but they’ve been able to show off the offense against this dreadful Royals pitching staff with 19 runs in the three games. It’s great to see Yarbrough return from a horrific accident, but Bieber and Cleveland should get the better of him today.

Philadelphia Phillies at Miami Marlins

We’re seeing a regression from Aaron Nola this season. There has been a drop in his average fastball and off-speed velocity from last season, and we’ve seen an increase in the opponent’s hard hit and barrel percentage, while his walk rate has nearly doubled. He’s already seen the Marlins this year and went 5.2 innings, allowing four earned in a loss.

Jesus Luzardo reached a career-high seven wins in his last start. His numbers from last year (100 innings) and the beginning of this season (103 innings) are oddly similar, except he’s allowed nearly three times as many hits this year. He’s been fortunate to get out of innings unharmed, including against Philly, where he allowed eight hits in six innings but only allowed three earned.

The Phillies have struggled to convert runners into runs, and their 7.67 left on base per game over the previous three is the seventh most in that span. He should hold it down enough to get the Marlins the series win.
