Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks
(Odds via ESPN Bet)
- Leg 1: Cubs Moneyline (-175)
- Leg 2: Over 8.5 Runs (-110)
When I read who the starting pitchers were for this game, I immediately thought this would be a low-scoring game. Andrew Abbott has a 1.77 ERA, while Colin Rea has a 3.28 ERA. However, I then noticed that both the Cubs and Reds have been hitting the ball well over the past week.
These two faced off in Cincinnati last week. Abbott secured the win in what ultimately became a 6-4 game. He'll probably leave the game around the sixth inning with the Reds ahead, but Cincinnati’s bullpen has been struggling. In the series in Cincinnati last week, the Cubs scored 21 of their 28 runs in the series during the seventh, eighth and ninth innings.
Between what the Cubs score after Abbott leaves the game and what both teams will combine to score in the first 5-6 innings, the over will hit. Chicago will win, but with Abbott giving the Reds a good head start, don't bank on the run line getting covered.
Parlay Odds: +180
Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks
- Leg 1: Ryan O'Hearn to Hit a Home Run (+425)
- Leg 2: Miguel Vargas to Hit a Home Run (+600)
- Leg 3: Over 9.0 Runs (-105)
Here, we have two teams that have not played well overall this season, and they are playing in the most home run-friendly park, with two pitchers (Sean Burke and Zach Eflin) who have given up nine home runs each this season.
Both teams have been hitting well, but not necessarily for power. However, with the game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, where 92 home runs have been hit in 26 games, and two home run-friendly pitchers, we have to go with a couple of home run props. Eflin has given up five at home; Burke has given up five on the road.
Both players have hit two home runs over the last week. Hearn has been hitting .500 and will almost certainly get a hit off Burke, quite possibly a home run. Vargas has hit seven of his eight home runs off righties like Eflin.
Parlay Odds: +3700
New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks
- Leg 1: Yankees -1.5 (+120)
- Leg 2: Under 9.0 Runs (-118)
The Dodgers have only been hitting .237 over the last week, but have averaged five runs per game. The Yankees have been faring better at the plate, hitting .262, but have recorded one fewer run than the Dodgers over the last week (29 runs compared to 30 for the Yankees).
The pitchers are the key to this matchup. Max Fried has been incredible this season, 7-0 in 11 starts with a 1.29 ERA and a .93 WHIP. He's given up five runs and 19 hits in May. Tony Gonsolin has given up one fewer hit (17) in May but double the runs (10). Fried might shut the Dodgers out, and the lineup behind will give him enough support for the Yankees to win by two or more runs.
Parlay Odds: +350
