MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Friday (6/20)
While there is an element of risk associated with betting on MLB same-game parlays (SGPs) that does not exist when just picking a winner, I prefer SGPs to betting on individual markets. Why? Because if you choose the right markets, you can minimize that risk while maximizing your payout.
Does this always work? No, but the possibility of turning $100 into $225 makes a game more fun to watch and follow than a shot at winning $43.48. On that note, let's take a look at my list of the best MLB same-game parlay picks and predictions for Friday, June 20th.

Washington Nationals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
MacKenzie Gore is a much better pitcher than his 3-6 record would indicate (2.89 ERA, 1.15 WHIP). He has not allowed more than two runs in a game across his last six starts, but Dodgers players have hit .339 against him in 62 at-bats.
After a disastrous outing in his first game back, Clayton Kershaw has begun to look like the guy fans know and love. He gave up five runs in his first start but has done the same across his last five (including two shutouts). Kershaw will control a Nats lineup hitting just .220 and scoring around three runs per game over the previous week.
Gore may slow down the Dodgers (hitting .278 over the last week and scoring six or more runs per game), but he will not stop them. The Dodgers will be in a relatively low-scoring game.
A $100 wager will result in a $265 payday - your stake plus $165 in winnings.

Detroit Tigers vs. Tampa Bay Rays
George M. Steinbrenner Field has seen the second-highest number of home runs hit this season, with 114 across 47 games. Of the 91 home runs the Tigers have hit, 49 have come on the road, so I like our chances of seeing a couple hit off Rays starter Shane Baz (who has given up seven home runs at home this season).
Riley Greene has hit 15 home runs, with 14 coming against righties. He has hit two in the last week and nine on the road. Kerry Carpenter is third on the team with 13 home runs, 11 of which have come off righties, and he hasn't had one since hitting three on June 2nd versus the White Sox. He's due.
A $100 wager will result in a $ 2,336 payday - your stake plus $ 2,236 in winnings.

Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels
- Angels Under 3.5 Runs (-130)
- Under 8.0 Runs (-108)
- Hunter Brown Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-158)
- Cam Smith to Record a Hit (-210)
The Angels are averaging three runs per game over their last six games. Hunter Brown has given up more than three runs in just one game. The Angels are hitting just .200 over the last week. Teams are hitting .207 against Brown on the road. Don't count on the lineup to wake up today.
Brown has recorded 105 strikeouts across 14 outings for an average of 7.5 per game. He's had seven or more in eight of his last 10 starts, and 21 over his last two. Yusei Kikuchi has allowed three runs in his six starts at home for a 1.05 ERA. Houston is hitting .272 over the last week. But don't be shocked if he keeps the Astros from blowing the score up.
Before going 0-4 last night vs. the A's, Cam Smith had hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. He is hitting .253 on the road and .290 against lefties.
A $100 wager will result in a $454 payout - your stake plus $354 in winnings.
