Washington Nationals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
- Leg 1: Over 9.5 Total Runs (+115)
- Leg 2: CJ Abrams 2+ Hits+Runs+RBI (-130)
- Leg 3: Corbin Carroll 2+ Hits+Runs+RBI (-148)
- Leg 4: Ketel Marte 2+ Hits+Runs+RBI (-165)
Let's lead off our same-game parlays with the Diamondbacks hosting the Nationals. This should be a higher-scoring game, considering the starting pitchers involved and both teams' offensive splits. Grab the Over with a few hitter player props added in.
Merrill Kelly gets the start for Arizona. The veteran has struggled to a 5.06 ERA and 1.46 WHIP so far this season. Though he's been better lately, the right-hander still has a 5.59 FIP and 7.28 xERA on the year. Kelly's 14.1% strikeout rate is a career low and ranks in the bottom 5% of the MLB. Plus, his lofty 16.4% barrel rate is in the bottom 1% of the league.
Even at home tonight, Kelly could be in for a shaky outing. The Nationals boast one of the best road offenses in the Majors, with a .325 wOBA and 106 wRC+. They also bring in above-average numbers against right-handed pitching (.319 wOBA, 102 wRC+).
One Washington hitter to back in this matchup is CJ Abrams. The shortstop is batting .295 with a .978 OPS against righties this year. He also has a .333 batting average and 1.029 OPS on the road. Kelly, meanwhile, has allowed a .271 average and .926 OPS to left-handed hitters so far.
On the other side, Foster Griffin will also likely run into trouble for the Nats. The left-hander has a decent 3.76 ERA this season, but his 4.89 FIP and 4.46 xERA suggest negative regression. His 12.8% barrel rate is especially concerning and ranks in the bottom 6% of MLB.
The Arizona offense has crushed lefties this season to the tune of a .279 batting average, .344 wOBA, and 118 wRC+, which all rank first or second in the majors. Over the past two weeks, the D-backs have had a .365 wOBA and 133 wRC+ in the split.
Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte are two Arizona batters who can lead the charge, per usual. Carroll is hammering southpaws with a .421 batting average and 1.181 OPS against them so far. He’s also hitting .315 with a 1.052 OPS at home this season. As for Marte, the switch-hitter is batting .290 with an .862 OPS against left-handers. He has a .290 batting average and .863 OPS at home as well. We could see both Carroll and Marte have productive games against Griffin, who has a rough 7.52 ERA over his last four starts.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Texas Rangers
- Leg 1: Under 8.5 Total Runs (-153)
- Leg 2: Parker Messick 6+ Strikeouts (-171)
- Leg 3: Kumar Rocker 5 or Fewer Hits Allowed (-207)
- Leg 4: Travis Bazzana Over 0.5 Hits (-212)
Let's now turn our attention to an American League matchup between the Guardians and Rangers. Both starting pitchers in this one should set the tone for a lower-scoring game. Lean into that narrative with this same-game parlay, with a bonus hitter prop included as well.
Parker Messick is having an All-Star season for Cleveland. The left-hander owns a 2.21 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over his first 12 starts. He's allowed two earned runs or fewer in 10 of 12 outings as well. Messick's strikeout totals have been up and down, but he still boasts a strong 27.2% K rate (82nd MLB percentile). He also has at least six punchouts in eight of his last 11 starts.
The Guardians' southpaw now faces a Texas offense that's struggled in the split. The Rangers have just a .288 wOBA and 83 wRC+ vs. left-handed pitching this year, which rank 28th and 27th in the MLB, respectively. They're also striking out at a 27.1% clip against lefties, which is the second-worst. Plus, the Rangers have bottom-tier numbers at home (.294 wOBA, 87 wRC+).
Meanwhile, Kumar Rocker can also limit the damage for Texas. The right-hander has been inconsistent with a 3.54 ERA this year. Yet, he's been better lately, posting a 1.52 ERA over his last four outings. He's also allowed two runs or fewer in seven of 11 games thus far.
Rocker brings in a strong 2.95 ERA across seven home starts as well. He'll take on a Cleveland lineup that's batting only .223 against righties this year, which ranks 29th in the Majors. The Guardians also have just a .230 average on the road (24th in MLB). Rocker can have a solid outing in this matchup. He's allowed four hits or fewer in seven of his last nine outings as well.
Though we're backing Rocker, we can still target Travis Bazzana in this spot. The Guardians' rookie is hitting .316 with a .902 OPS against right-handed pitching this season. Rocker, meanwhile, has been slightly worse against lefty hitters, with a .726 OPS allowed in the split.
