Cleveland Guardians at Kansas City Royals

Let's lead off our same-game parlays with an AL Central matchup between Cleveland and Kansas City. The Guardians are currently one game up on the White Sox for the division lead with the playoffs right around the corner. They're in the driver's seat to lock up the Central, and another win today would be massive.

Cleveland is now 7-1 in the last eight games and trending in the right direction. Count on the Guardians to keep it going on Friday. Gavin Williams can give the road favorites a strong outing in a favorable setting.

Williams is pitching well lately, posting a 1.44 ERA over his last four starts. He's also struck out 7+ batters in four straight and in 11 of his last 13 outings. The right-hander now faces a Royals lineup that has a 25.1% strikeout rate against righties over the past two weeks. Williams can rack up the punchouts, especially with his current form.

Meanwhile, Royals starter Noah Cameron brings in a 3.92 ERA this year. The southpaw has been up and down over the past month, and now faces a hot Cleveland offense. Let's target two of those hitters to complete our parlay.

Chase DeLauter is batting .324 with a .914 OPS since the start of August. The rookie outfielder has 44 hits and 22 runs scored over 37 games in this stretch. He's also hitting .333 with an .867 OPS against left-handed pitching this year.

As for Angel Martinez, he's even hotter lately. He has a .412 batting average and 1.294 OPS over the past nine games. He's also hitting .326 with a .974 OPS over his past 25 games. Plus, Martinez boasts a .306 average and .841 OPS against lefties this season.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Let's now turn our attention to the Phillies hosting the Rays on Friday night. This matchup projects as a lower-scoring contest with both starters setting the tone. Take the full-game Under to anchor our parlay.

Rays starter Freddy Peralta has found a groove lately. The right-hander owns a 0.94 ERA over his last five starts, and a 2.53 ERA over his past eight outings. He'll look to keep it going against an up-and-down Philadelphia offense. In September, the Phils have just a .276 wOBA and .211 batting average against righties.

On the other side, Cristopher Sanchez will look to post a good outing as the Phillies try to lock up a Wild Card berth. The left-hander has been shaky in recent starts, but he boasts a 2.21 ERA at home this year. The Rays, meanwhile, have just a .301 wOBA against lefties this month, ranking 23rd in the majors.

The Phillies could use a lengthy start from Sanchez to rest the bullpen arms. So, bank on the southpaw pitching into the seventh inning. He's gone 6+ innings in 15 of 18 home starts this season, averaging 6.1 innings in those outings.

Though we're hoping for a strong Sanchez performance, Taylor Walls is a good pick to record a hit today. The Rays' shortstop has now hit safely in 16 of his last 26 games started (62%). He's also recorded 11 hits over his past 13 games overall. Meanwhile, Sanchez has been notably worse against right-handed batters, allowing a .284 average in the split. It sets up well for the switch-hitting Walls.
