The MLB season continues with more Friday night baseball on tap. The MLB playoff race is heating up with Wild Card spots up for grabs in both leagues. Let’s turn our attention to today’s slate with 15 games and every team in action. There are plenty of options for MLB picks and props. It’s time to dive into the matchups and dish out a pair of MLB same-game parlays (SGPs) featuring player props and juicy plus-money odds.

Chicago Cubs vs. Miami Marlins

Let's lead off our same-game parlays with a National League matchup between the Cubs and Marlins. Based on the starting pitchers and some key stats, this projects to be a higher-scoring contest. Grab the over to begin our parlay, with some hitter props added in.
Cubs starter Shota Imanaga is struggling lately. He has a 7.13 ERA with eight home runs allowed over his last four starts. The left-hander now owns a 4.01 ERA and 4.80 FIP on the year. Imanaga's 9.8% barrel rate ranks in the 14th percentile, and he's now allowed a league-high 33 home runs this season.
The Marlins can get to Imanaga at home, especially considering his 4.93 FIP on the road. Otto Lopez and Javier Sanoja should be part of that run production. Lopez is hitting .333 with an .842 OPS against left-handed pitching this year. He's also batting .313 at home.
Sanoja, meanwhile, boasts a .325 batting average and .862 OPS vs. lefties this year. He comes in red-hot as well, hitting .379 with a .944 OPS over the past 15 games. The Miami infielder has been on an extended surge for a while now, with a .321 batting average and .844 OPS over the last 40 games.
On the other side, Marlins starter Janson Junk brings in a 4.11 ERA this season. The right-hander has been better lately, but he still has a 4.27 xERA and 4.50 xFIP on the year. He now faces a Cubs offense that has a league-leading .359 wOBA against righties over the last month.
Of course, Pete Crow-Armstrong is leading the charge. The MVP contender owns a 1.026 OPS over the past two months, and he's batting .313 with a 1.217 OPS over the last 15 games. As for Junk, he's allowing a .300 batting average and .804 OPS to left-handed hitters this year. It sets up perfectly for Crow-Armstrong, who is on another level right now.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers

Let's now turn our attention to Texas hosting Tampa Bay on Friday night. The visiting Rays hold a few key edges to get the victory, beginning with the starting pitching matchup. Nick Martinez can anchor our same-game parlay.
The Rays right-hander carries a 2.99 ERA into this start. Martinez has endured some shakier outings lately, and the advanced stats are a tad worrisome. Still, his overall success this season is tough to ignore. Tampa Bay is now 20-6 in his starts, including 10-2 on the road.
Martinez faces a Texas offense that's struggled against right-handed pitching recently. The Rangers are hitting just .201 versus righties over the past month, which ranks 29th in baseball. They're also striking out at a 23.9% clip against right-handers during this stretch, which is the fifth-highest mark in the league. It bodes well for Martinez, who boasts a 1.96 ERA on the road.
Meanwhile, Texas right-hander Kumar Rocker brings in a 4.44 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. He has a poor 6.00 ERA and 5.21 FIP over his past six outings, and he owns a 4.76 ERA on the road this season. Another rough outing could be coming today, even pitching behind an opener. Tampa Bay is hitting a league-best .277 against right-handers since the start of August.
Chandler Simpson and Yandy Diaz are two Rays hitters to target in this matchup. Simpson is batting .370 since the All-Star break, and .350 over his last 11 games. He's also racked up multi-hit games 15 times over the past month. His .319 batting average against right-handed pitching helps against Rocker, who is allowing a .282 average and .837 OPS to left-handed hitters.
As for Diaz, he's also on fire right now. The Rays designated hitter has a .350 batting average and .960 OPS over his last 24 games. He has 10 multi-hit games in this stretch as well. Diaz has a .306 average and .828 OPS against right-handed pitching.
