St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres
Leg #1: Alt Total Under 10.o Runs (-273)
I don’t have confidence in either team, but I give the Padres the pitching advantage with Randy Vasquez getting the start and having a better bullpen.
Dustin May is on the bump for the Cardinals. His first two starts of the season were terrible (allowing 13 earned runs), but he has settled in a bit over his last five starts, not allowing more than three earned runs in any of those starts.
While these two starters aren’t elite, they should be able to control the opposing lineups, and both offenses haven’t been hitting.
Over the last seven days, both St. Louis and San Diego rank in the bottom 10 in wRC+, batting average and runs scored.
Expect another low-scoring game.
Leg #2: Randy Vasquez 5+ Strikeouts (+149)
Randy Vasquez has hit this number in three of his last five starts. The two teams he failed to get this number against were the Cubs and the Giants.
The Cubs have the third-lowest strikeout rate against righties, while the Giants have the 13th-lowest mark.
Vasquez has a much better matchup against the Cardinals, who have the eighth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers.
Leg #3: Jackson Merrill 2+ Total Bases (+106)
Lefties have been Dustin May's Achilles heel this season, hitting over .370 with a .543 slugging rate against him.
Jackson Merrill has gotten off to a slow start in 2026, batting .234, but has turned it around in the month of May, slashing .357/.400/.536.
Look for Merrill to stay hot and take advantage of a great matchup.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Leg #1: Blue Jays Moneyline (-180)
This is another game where I don’t have much confidence in either offense.
But this is a spot where I feel comfortable backing the Blue Jays. They have the edge in both starting pitching and the bullpen, and they play much better at home.
Their 11 wins rank fourth in the American League.
Leg #2: Trey Yesavage 8+ Strikeouts (+386)
Trey Yesavage has the talent to hit this number, and then some.
If you watched last year’s postseason, you saw how great Yesavage is, but to the diehards who have been watching him since his days at East Carolina University (ECU), this is no surprise.
The former ECU Pirate made three regular-season starts in 2025 and put up a 10.29 K/9, which would have been the eighth-best mark in the Majors, right behind Paul Skenes.
In five starts (six appearances) in last year’s postseason, Yesavage posted a 12.69 K/9, including two starts with double-digit strikeouts against the Dodgers and Yankees.
Today, Yesavage faces an Angels lineup that has the highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. We just saw a Blue Jays starter fan 10 Angels last night. We could see a similar performance today from Yesavage
