Texas Rangers at Washington Nationals
- Leg 1: Rangers -1.5 (+104)
- Leg 2: Jacob deGrom 6+ Strikeouts (-105)
Jacob deGrom has a long history of injuries, but when he is healthy, he is still one of the best and is showing it. He's having a fantastic 2025 overall, but recently he's been lights out, with a 1.70 ERA in his previous seven starts.
The swing and miss stuff is prominent as he's in the 85th percentile in whiff rate and 83rd in chase rate. The command he has with his pitches helps him avoid trouble by not allowing free passes, and he has a 6.3 walk percentage.
He still has one of the toughest sliders in the league, with opposing hitters having a .238 weighted on-base average against the pitch, and the +7 run value is the highest in the league.
He has limited experience against the Nationals’ lineup (19 plate appearances), but has a 36.8% strikeout rate and 41% whiff rate against this lineup.

Philadelphia Phillies at Pittsburgh Pirates
- Leg 1: Phillies -1.5 (-106)
- Leg 2: Ranger Suarez Under 5.5 Hits Allowed (+100)
- Leg 3: Ranger Suarez Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-185)
The Phillies’ starting rotation has been supported by the backend, which includes Ranger Suarez. After a tough first start, he's been great with a 1.10 ERA in his last five.
He isn't an overpowering pitcher, but he has great control of his pitches and keeps them down and away from a hitter’s power zone. He's done well with forcing weak contact to hitters with the best barrel rate in the league (0.9%), and a hard hit rate in the 98th percentile.
Pittsburgh is 16th in barrel and hard hit percentage, and that may not be good enough for someone who is pitching as well as Suarez.
Parlay Odds: +493
Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals
- Leg 1: Dodgers -1.5 (-108)
- Leg 2: Under 8.5 Runs (-118)
- Leg 3: Cardinals Under 3.5 Total Runs (-135)
Yoshinobu Yamamoto is coming off a rough start, allowing four earned runs to the Yankees in a loss. He is still having an incredible season where, in five of 12 starts, he has gone at least six shutout innings.
As long as his splitter is working, he's nearly untouchable. That pitch has his biggest whiff rate (42.3%), but his curveball and cutter are great secondary pitches that can be used to retire batters, as well.
The Cardinals were one of the top offenses to start the season, but we're beginning to see the regression. Although they are top ten overall in both of these categories, over St. Louis' last 12 games, their .232 batting average is 23rd, and .307 on-base percentage is 19th. This will help Yamamoto have a rebound game.
